Nuns do it. Sisters do it.
Do Protestants "ejaculate" when they pray?

What?! Does that mean something other than what I think it does...?

What?! Does that mean something other than what I think it does...? Yes! American Heritage Dictionary e·jac·u·la·tion 2. A sudden short exclamation, especially a brief pious utterance or prayer. It is a profound, unplanned prayer. At my family's Pentecostal churches, they do it all the time...they just break out into prayer as The Spirit moves them.

I'm sure some churches do it...mine doesn't.

Have you ever just thanked God for Him doing something for you?
Like just out of nowhere?
Just spouted..."Thank You Father! Thank You Jesus!"?

This thread is offensive to me. Seems a bit silly.

When Holy Spirit touches a person, it sometimes is too much and some may say something.
I've been touched by the electric presence of God so strong I asked Him to pull back for I thought I might die if I continued. But, to look at my outward appearance, probably no one saw anything.
Is the word I object to.

Why do you object to the word?
It's a perfectly legitimate word.
It is not offensive or vulgar (at least not how the dictionary defines it).
And Emily...Yes. When you say "Amen" out of the spur of the moment, that "is" an ejaculation...and uncontrolled burst of prayer without thought.
It's been done for thousands of years. Christians have always done it. The Jews would do it as well. It's part of traditional worship to God.

I agree with Jacee here. I can almost feel the enjoyment you're getting out of saying the word. And it's defninetly an "I'm being naughty as I type this with a wide grin" feeling to go along with the shock value. What I think we might need here Cepha is a nice old mean nun with a yard stick to smack your hands when you're being bad by posting these types of threads!
