2008 Bruce Barclay, former Cumberland County commissioner, videotaped hundreds of sexual encounters — many with male escorts — using cameras hidden throughout his Monroe Township home.[1] Matthew Joseph Elliott, former aide to Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, was convicted of sexual exploitation of a child.[2] Vito Fossella, the only Republican member of Congress from New York City, admitted to police to having a child out-of-wedlock when stopped for drunk driving.[3] Robert McKee, Republican delegate from Western Maryland, announced his resignation after authorities seized two computers, videotapes and printed materials from his Hagerstown home in a child pornography investigation. McKee also resigned his position as executive director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Washington County.[4] Daniel Dean Thompson, 31, a Utah retailer of "family-friendly" tapes and DVDs (Hollywood films with the "dirty parts" cut out of them), arrested and booked into the Utah County jail on charges of sexual abuse and unlawful sexual activity with a 14-year-old.[5] Derek Walker, former Eagle Scout and candidate seeking the GOP nomination in a race for north-central Pennsylvania district, was charged with felony burglary and criminal trespass stemming from an encounter last year with an ex-girlfriend, during which he allegedly broke into her home and used his cell phone to videotape her engaged in an intimate moment with another man.[6] 2007 Robert "Bob" Allen, Florida state Rep. Arrested in the afternoon at a Veteran's Memorial Park for solicitation of prostitution from an undercover male officer inside a restroom. According to the papers Bob "offer[ed] to perform oral sex for $20". Bob Later claimed that his offer had something to do with his being afraid of black people.[7] John David Roy Atchison, Republican prosecutor, was arrested for soliciting sex from a 5-year old girl, then killed himself three weeks later. At the time of his arrest, Atchison was an "assistant U.S. attorney"appointed by President Bush's attorney general.[8] E. Ozwald Balfour, chairman of the Utah Republican Black Assembly and elected to the Republican State Central Committee in 2007, even though he was awaiting trial on four felony counts of forcible sex abuse dating back to his arrest in February, 2005.[9] John Bryan, Republican city councilman, killed himself after police began investigating allegations that he had molested three girls, including two of his adopted daughters, ages 12 and 15.[10] Larry Craig Republican Senator for Idaho, was arrested on July 11, 2007, by plainclothes police officer investigating complaints of lewd behavior in a Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport airport men's room. On August 8 in Hennepin County Municipal Court in Bloomington, Minnesota, Craig entered a guilty plea and paid a $500 fine.[11]. On September 1st, Craig subsequently announced his retirement from the Senate[12]. Five days later, Craig changed his mind, renounced his retirement and began a battle to have his guilty plea overturned.[13] John R. Curtin, Monroe County state Republican committeeman, was convicted of molesting an underage teenage boy and sentenced to serve six to 18 months in prison.[14] Richard Curtis, Washington State Rep., resigned from the House after reports of his sexual encounter with a male escort became public.[15] Donald Fleischman, Brown County, WI, Republican Party Chairman, resigned his post after he was charged with two counts of child enticement, two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a child and a single charge of exposing himself to a child.[16] Larry Dale Floyd, Republican Constable in Denton County, Texas Precinct Two. Arrested for allegedly crossing state lines to have sex with an 8-year old child and was charged with 7 related offenses. Age 62 at time of arrest.[17] Ted Klaudt, former South Dakota State Rep., found guilty of four counts of second-degree rape of two teenage foster daughters.[18][19] Ronald C. Kline, Republican Judge in Orange County, CA, pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography on his home computer after six years of legal wrangling. In 2002, charged with child molestation and under house arrest on federal charges of possessing child pornography, political analysts still gave him a 50-50 chance of winning the March 5 primary for the Orange County Superior Court seat. He lost the election to a write-in candidate. Joseph M. McDade, 75, was issued a summons on a charge of exposure of sexual organs, a misdemeanor that carries up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine. The longtime Pennsylvania Republican congressman who served for 36 years in the House and now works for a Washington lobbying firm, has been accused of exposing his private parts to two women at a beach resort on Sanibel Island. [20] Patrick Lee McGuire, former former Flagler County Commissioner, surrendered to police after allegedly molesting girls between the ages of 8 and 13.[21] Jon Matthews, Republican talk show host in Houston, was indicted for indecency with a child, including exposing his genitals to a girl under the age of 17.[22] Joseph Monteleone Jr., Elyria city councilman, was found guilty of fondling underage girls and asking them, to have sex with him.[23] Glenn Murphy Jr., chairman of the Clark County Republican Party and president of the Young Republican National Federation, resigned both posts, after the Clark County Sheriff’s Department began investigating Murphy for alleged criminal deviate conduct. A 22-year-old man claimed that Murphy performed an unwanted sex act on him while the man slept in a relative’s Jeffersonville home. During the investigation, a similar accusation from 1998 came to light.[24] Armando Tebano, Schenectady County Republican Chairman, pleaded guilty to fondling a 14-year-oldgirl.[25] David Vittner, junior Senator from Louisiana, became one of the few high-profile politicians to be implicated as a client of "D.C. Madam" Deborah Jeane Palfrey.[26] (At least the Democrats get busted for having "heterosexual" scandals with consenting adults, but Republicans? Geesh! Talk about your Sodom & Gommorah!)

That's all within just (again, "just") the past two years! This isn't ancient history, but recent history (and some of it is literally presently playing itself out today). Hey, it is what it is. It's a homosexually saturated party. Tell you what, list all the Democratic homosexual scandals within the last two years. Then we can compare the two and we can see which party has more homos in it leading it.

While Obama is for equal rights and protections for homosexuals, he's against Gay Marriage. Why did you say that lie? You do know that "slander" is a sin, right?

Tell me exactly how he can be against gay marriage, but he is for equal rights and wants to make it legal for them to get married? If he was against it, then he would never try to get it passed. That is if he is being true to himself.
Again, not committing slander...sorry if you dont like what you hear.

President Obama is against making marriage legal between homosexuals. He never said that he wanted to make it legal for them to get married. Where in tarnation did you get that belief? Your email spam? And when you lie about me, you are literally slandering me. You have yet to provide any proof of the things you allege I've said, have you? In fact, put me to the side...where is your proof that Obama wants to make it legal for homosexuals to get married?

REPUBLICANS John McCain Believes the institution of marriage is a union between one man and one woman. Voted for the Defense of Marriage Act but voted against the Federal Marriage Amendment. Says states and local governments should set their own marriage policies.
Voted against the Employment Non-Discrimination Act of 1996. During an interview in 2000, McCain said: "I think that the present laws that clearly prevent a discrimination of any kind certainly [apply] to gays and homosexuals as well. That's why I voted the way that I did. I think that enforcement of existing law could work rather than passing special laws for special categories of people."
When asked about the military's "Don't ask, don't tell" policy, McCain said: "...I don't think there's any doubt that there are evolving attitudes in America about many issues, including this one, but every military leader that I talk to, I say 'Should we change it?' They say, 'It's working.' And right now we've got the best military we've ever had -- the most professional, best trained, equipped and the bravest. And so I think it's logical to leave this issue alone. I really do."
The McCain campaign states that gay adoption is a state issue and does not endorse any federal legislation. Watch McCain speak about same-sex marriage Sarah Palin Stated on Sarah Palin for Governor Web site: "I believe that marriage should only be between a man and a woman."
Stated during the vice presidential debate October 2, "No one would ever propose, not in a McCain-Palin administration, to do anything to prohibit, say, visitations in a hospital or contracts being signed, negotiated between parties."
According to a New York Times report, she supported an amendment to the Alaska state constitution that would have banned same-sex marriage, but, during her tenure as governor, she vetoed a bill that would have denied health benefits to same-sex partners of public employees on grounds that it was unconstitutional.
DEMOCRATS Barack Obama Opposes same-sex marriage, but also opposes a constitutional ban. Says he would repeal the Defense of Marriage Act and voted against the Federal Marriage Amendment. As stated on the Obama campaign Web site, he supports full civil unions that "give same-sex couples equal legal rights and privileges as married couples, including the right to assist their loved ones in times of emergency as well as equal health insurance, employment benefits, and property and adoption rights."
Says the Employment Non-Discrimination Act should be expanded to include sexual orientation and gender identity. Advocated legislation that sought to expand federal hate crimes law to include sexual orientation and gender identity.
Says the military's "Don't ask, don't tell" policy needs to be repealed. Watch Obama speak about same-sex marriage
Joe Biden Opposes same-sex marriage. Voted against a constitutional amendment prohibiting same-sex marriage. Supports civil unions. Says he believes legal recognition should not be denied to same-sex couples. Advocates re-examining federal laws, including the tax code, to ensure national laws are not unfair to same-sex couples and that committed adults who are adopting are not discriminated against because of sexual orientation. Supports letting states determine how to recognize civil unions and define marriage. Also supports ending the military's "don't ask, don't tell" Policy. Supports adding sexual orientation to the definition of hate crimes

Cepha,
What is up with your fixation of homosexuals and pedophiles in the Republican party?? In case you missed it, there have been a number of Catholic clergymen that have been guilty of the same thing. Considering you are still Catholic, I assume you realize that the transgressions of the few does not reflect the entire Catholic priesthood... or in this case an entire political party. This whole post is just weird.

At least we know where Democrats stand. Republicans lie to America calling themselves the Family Values Party while case upon case of Homosexual scandals eminate from their leadership ranks and they continue to allow abortion to be the law of the land when they had the power...they've proven themselves to lie about being Pro-Life. Thing is, good hearted Christians and others vote for them thinking that they will bring the States back to a moral center, but how can they when they've had the most corrupt Cabinet in Presidential history? When their leaders are regularly indicted? While they wage unjust wars? While they allow abortion having all the power in the world? I love The Church's teaching on voting for a Pro-Life candidate who is wrong on other issues with The Church...we can't do it. Anyway, we didn't have any Pro-Life candidates this year, so it doesn't matter. Both of them believe in murdering innocent children.

Cepha, What is up with your fixation of homosexuals and pedophiles in the Republican party?? Considering you are still Catholic, I assume you realize that the transgressions of the few does not reflect the entire Catholic priesthood... or in this case an entire political party. This whole post is just weird. The difference is that you don't see Priests running around condemning homosexuals like The Republican Leadership did. The fact is that these men were chosen by Republicans to lead them...it shows a weak constitution in the moral base of Republicans. They choose homos. It's not a "small" number of incidents either. The chunk of Republican perverts far outnumbers the proportions of general society. They tend to be more corrupt, more homosexual and more pedophile than the average politician. Take John McCain for example...he abandoned his wife for a younger woman (whom he later cheated on). Meanwhile, Obama was with the same woman, had children from one woman and is still faithfully married to her. Democrats? They represent the majority of this country (not in numbers, but in it's make up of all different types of Americans). Republicans only represent a certain sector of America and they certainly cannot bear the banner of The Family Values Party (especially after having the Presidency, The Congress and The Senate for 6 years straight and doing nothing to eliminate abortion). Question: Where were you Anti-Obamians when Bush had the Congress and The Senate all to himself for over half a decade? Why didn't you push him to stop abortion? Are you guilty with your silence?

the thing is cepha is that bush did not make an outcry of trying to fund more abortions and make a huge deal of backing abortions. He pretty much just left it as it was, but surely did not try to pass more laws FOR it. This is what you are not seeing and thats ok,not sure you ever will.

No...what I am seeing is that he did NOTHING to stop abortion! For you, it's ok that when he had all the power in the world, he did nothing to stop it and still calls himself Pro-Life! If I were President and I had the Senate and Congress in my corner, I would've immediately made an emergency Presidential decision to ban abortion permanently and make it a crime to murder unborn children and I would've immediately sent the National Guard to not only shut down the abortion clinics, but to literally level them to the ground with mortars! Bush had his shot and did (as you put it...): NOTHING!!!

Cepha, just a few questions: 1) The Catholic Church doesn't condemn homosexuality? ? 2) "The fact is that these men were chosen by Republicans to lead them...it shows a weak constitution in the moral base of Republicans." Does this mean that the Catholic church and their seminaries are plagued with men of a "weak constitution and moral base" since they managed to allow men into the priesthood who turned out to be gay/pedophile? Do you suggest that voters are supposed to know through ESP when they are electing an amoral individual? If so, wouldn't Democrats be required to also have ESP, and not elect any corrupt individuals? 3) "It's not a "small" number of incidents either." Are you suddenly trying to suggest you see things in degrees, and use the amount or severity of actions as a guide in forming your opinion? You apply that concept a little haphazardly, wouldn't you say?? 4) "They tend to be more corrupt, more homosexual and more pedophile than the average politician." Lol... the reality it politicians in general or just more corrupt than the average PERSON! Power corrupts, and the bigger the government the more power there is to go around.... the more enticed the lobbyists and other special interest groups are to get their piece of the pie. Anyway, does it bother you that Democrats tend to be more pro-choice, more pro-gay rights, more anti-Christian rights (such as prayer in schools, "God" on money and in the pledge) than the average American (or at the very least, the average Christian American)? 5) Now to answer YOUR questions: Where were you Anti-Obamians when Bush had the Congress and The Senate all to himself for over half a decade? Um.... we didn't know who Obama was. Why didn't you push him to stop abortion? Um... there were several decisions made regarding abortion, usually at the state level, which we pushed for. The only effective way to do anything at a national level is to overturn Roe vs. Wade (or, at this point, to battle like heck against FOCA!!!)... and Bush luckily had the opportunity to select to new justices, and I think he did a good job there, which helps us toward that goal. Are you guilty with your silence? What silence? Pro-lifers have always spoken up, and over the years, have done everything they can to uphold parental rights, and block partial birth abortion, and do other things to save lives of the unborn in the midst of our abortion culture.
