That's cool. I too am thinking of becoming a Deacon or Priest, but would like to marry first. If it is God's Will, then it will happened. In IC.XC, Ramon I think that's one of the best jobs a man can have. Being a Priest is the best, but after that? Deacon. Imagin being able to partake in the consecration of The Host? Wow. Talk about humbling. Cepha, I agree. Every Divine Liturgy, I am allowed, so unworthy I am, to come forward and partake of the Holy Body and Blood of Christ in the Holy Chalice, for the remission of sins and life everlasting. Imagine I, actually partaking in the Eucharistic ceremony? Handling, with love and fear, the sacred Body and Blood of Christ? I am speechless. Can you imagine presiding in a Divine Liturgy (or Mass)? or during your duties as a deacon? Wearing the clergy vestments? It is a honor that I will cherish. If that's calling in my life, then God will guide me. If not, I will happy being part of lower Orders of the Church (such as the Reader), ;D If in the near future, where are you going to go to study to become a deacon? I am planning on going to a Orthodox seminary (after I am done with my studies). Saint Vladimir Orthodox Theological Seminary (http://www.svots.edu/) in Crestwood, New York. They have a beautiful Chapel! Heavenly! The Ordination services of a soon to become Priest or Deacon are beautiful and heavenly (in youtube, you can check some clips on some ordination of deacons in Orthodox churches) in the Holy Orthodox Church. I am sure it is the same in the Roman Catholic churches. What are the requirements to be a deacon in the Roman Catholic Church? In IC.XC, Ramon
