Im not saying good ol white folk as being racist. Im saying im tired of hearing what color/ethnicity voted which way or whatever. It always is an issue with you. If it had been Crippled People between the Ages of 50-70, would you have commented on their being crippled? You are the only one making race an issue. I can't help it that the group "just" happened to be Hispanic Protestants that gave Bush the 2nd Election. Their race had nothing to do with my mentioning them (but I wasn't going to leave that point out just because it mentioned their race and I wasn't going to ignore that out of fear of "offending" anybody). You know something? Obama's Attorney General Eric Holder is right when he says that we as a country are "too sensitive" when it comes to talking about race. Show me one college application that says "RACE" with the choice of Hispanic? You shouldn't even be applying to that college if they can't even determine that Hispanics are a culture (not a race). And..."why" could've I call myself white? What are your criteria for white? Blond hair? Blue eyes? What? Hey, dingy...where do you think Spaniards come from? We come from The Middle East. The first persons to settle Spain (they called it "Iberia" which is an Arabic word) were Arabs. Geesh! You make a better case than I ever could CC! LOL! Thanks! ;D Now..."learn" little sister! PUERTO RICOAccording to the 2000 U.S. Census there were almost four million inhabitants. Eighty percent of Puerto Ricans described themselves as "white"; 8% as "black"; 12% as "mulatto" and 0.4% as "American Indian or Alaska Native".[70]GeneticsConversely, patrilineal input showed that 70% of all Puerto Rican males have inherited Y chromosome DNA from a male European ancestor, 20% from a male African ancestor, and fewer than 10% from a male Amerindian ancestor.
This suggests that the largest components of the Puerto Rican genetic pool are European/Caucasian, Amerindian, and African, in descending order.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puerto_Rico#Population_and_racial_makeup

Believe it or not, my whole family has blond/red hair, green/blue/hazel eyes. I'm one of the 4 dark ones (they call us gypsies). As for skin color, don't forget, white people can tan (and they try their hardest "to" get darker). What determines a race are mostly their physical features besides the obvious (skin color). Anyway, am I white white? Like Prince Charles of England white? No, but am I white like Prince Phillip of Spain? Yep.

Ethnicity and Race are two different things. Race is physical. Ethnicity is social. Two persons of differnt races can be in the same Ethnic Group. See? Take the American and Alaskan Indians...both are racially the same group, but they are differently culturally.

Professor Joseph Olson of Hemline University School of Law, St. Paul, Minnesota, points out some interesting facts concerning the Presidential election:
Number of States won by: Democrats: 19 Republicans: 29
Square miles of land won by: Democrats: 580,000 Republicans: 2,427,000
Population of counties won by: Democrats: 127 million Republicans: 143 million
Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Democrats: 13.2 Republicans: 2.1
Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory Republicans won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country. Democrat territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in government-owned tenements and living off various forms of government welfare..." Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the "complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase. If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegals and they vote, then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years. If you are in favor of this, then by all means, delete this message. If you are not, then pass this along to help everyone realize just how much is at stake, knowing that apathy is the greatest danger to our freedom.

Percentage of people who feel that President Obama is doing a good job? 59% Know what that means? That means that today, more Americans approve of The President than those that actually voted for him. And in the end, despite all of the revisionist history, no matter how many way one tries to parse the numbers, he won. So, Anti-Obamians can keep living in the past or living in the future, but the majority of Americans are standing behind their President! (even if he is the AC! LOL )

And the link you gave us says this: " Barack Obama’s approval ratings have been very stable in the month of March so far, and his current 61% approval rating is more positive than the 58% rating for George W. Bush... " The Gallup graph says 67%. And how is this bad when only 53% of the country actually voted for him? All this says is that more people are pleased with him now than when the election took place. This is actually a great jump from 53% to the 60's.
