AKA..."The Consistory" of John Calvin. I am assuming you are refering to the Michael Servetus incident ... you know he was already condemned by the inquisition in Rome dont you, and was just fleeing to Geneva in the hope of finding sanctuary ... evidently Calvin in this instance agreed with Romes condemnation of Servetus's Saballienism. That said Englands treatment of recusant Catholics was horrendous, the scandanavian countries at various times made it a crime to be Catholic ... both side treated heresy the same way as a threat to souls and to the country this was the age of the confessional state ... so it was to be expected on both sides.
