Exactly "how" was it that The Christian Church was first created?

The first "Christian" church was founded by Jesus christ who then gave authority to Peter when he said, "Peter, on this rock, you will start my church and the gates of hell will not prevail".
And this mighty church was called the Catholic church. St. Ignatius called it 'Catholic' as far back as the year 107.
Every other religion is an off shoot from Catholicism. We have an unbroken link for 2,000 years. No one else can claim this.
