Why are they important to Christianity?

They are important to christianity because they are the proof of the existence of the beliefs back then that were thoroughly Catholic. And they provide us with historical facts about Jesus christ and his holy Catholic church.

Amen..how in the world would we know about what Jesus taught if it wasn't for The Church Fathers?
