Studying to rebuke VS to learn...

I've notice that Anti-Catholics can quote any scripture that they think rebukes Catholic teachings.

They can dig up any verse that could be misinterpretated to prove that The Blessed Mother had sexual relations after she gave birth to The Son of God or that Peter was too faulty to have been chose by Jesus to be the Shepherd to His Sheep or that The Eucharist is "not" the body of Christ.

Yet, they can't tell you what were Jesus' instructions to a Lepor He healed regarding showing himself to a Priest or they can't quote the verse where Peter's shadow healed people or where Jesus passes judgement on supposedly saved Christians.

This is the major fault in Anti-Catholicism...they spend all their time in trying to disprove The Church.

If they put that same devotion into just learning what The Word of God is teaching instead of in attempting to use it as a weapon to prove a religioin wrong, they would lose all their "Anti-ness". They'd have no time to be Anti-Catholic...they'd be too busy being just Christians.

Imagine that...instead of being masters of The Virgin Mary's potential sexual relation references, being masters of The Word?

Let's face it...the only reason that they even care about Mary's sexual status is because we believe that she was pure before "and" after Jesus' birth through her blessed womb.

The majority of Christians (83%) & all Muslims, meaning 3.3 Billion people of the world [or more than 1/2 of the world's population] also believe this.

Catholics don't care about Mary's sexuality...we just defend her purity because she was Jesus' mother and we obey Jesus when we love her as He loved her (which was His wish that we love each other as He loved us)...as our spiritual mother because our salvation & eternal spiritual life (Jesus) came through her blessed womb.

what did Jesus say about being born again?

Not Paul, not Peter, not Pastor [insert name here], but Jesus Christ.

One must be born again to see the Kingdom of God but which water do you believe Jesus was speaking of?

When Christ said to Peter"but when you are converted,strengthen the brethren" why did He speak as if Peter wasn't converted yet?

Acts has some great stuff,shadows and cloths and being caught away.

The priest was the only one who could let him back into the population

The water involved in one's baptism (which is literally what the word baptism meant at the time that He said this...to be immersed in water).

Jesus was comparing the physical with the spiritual---the water is the womb so to see the kingdom of God one must be first human(born of water) and redeemed (born of the spirit) this is why angels marvel at salvation and one day we will rule over them.



He was telling Him that (the entire verse talks about Satan working to break them up upon Jesus' arrest and trial) after Peter would deny Him, once He recovered his faith, he was to be the pillar for the rest of The Apostles and to bring them fortitude.

Satan works against the flesh that is what he was created for---Pete's flesh was still in the way---Peter's faith was never the question it was his willingness to stand on it rather than on himself.This is the hardest thing for a Christian to learn to do----some never learn it so Pete needed the speed course.

Satan came as a young girl in the court yard and whooped Pete's flesh pretty good but at Pentecost Satan came as many men against Pete's spirit and Pete trounced him up real quick

I simply see it as Jesus telling him to go do what The Priest prescribes (the ritual cleansing) after He (Jesus) healed him and that he was to show himself to no common man, but only to The Priest after his healing.
