I'm from Christian Forums, where I found your link here. I'm specifically looking for Messianic discussions and guidance. I've been many denominations as a Christian--Catholic, Baptist, nondenominational... I like to read testimonies and watch The Father's work in other people's lives as well as give Him credit and praise for what He's done in mine. I've been a Christian for nearly 20 years but I still have a lot to learn. I haven't been the best example of a Christian, that's for sure. I hope to find some interesting and meaningful conversations here and look forward to chatting about my favorite subject, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Welcome aboard WonByOne. Considering that you enjoy talking about The Holy Trinity, your other name could be WonByThree! I'm happy to have you here. Your story reminds me of my own. I was born a Cradle Catholic, left my faith in my late teens, dabbled around in other Christian faiths along with some studies of Islam & Buddhism ending up a border Agnostic. Thank God I was given an emotional beatdown that brought my self-centered pride and ego and arrogance down to my knees and I humbled myself to God and got my fresh start in my late 20's. So I lived 10 years lost and 10 years found. I'm going to start a thread on Testimonies so that we may share our stories. I think it's good that we know how we came to Christ, or as I like to say, how we finally opened up our eyes to Him. Some say they "found" Jesus. I believe Jesus was always there. We just didn't see Him. Again, welcome aboard.

Welcome aboard WonByOne. Considering that you enjoy talking about The Holy Trinity, your other name could be WonByThree! Thank you for the nice welcome. I've been going from board to board b'c people either don't talk to you or they don't like you questioning--many seem to think it shows a lack of faith. pppfffttt! LOL I've never wavered in my faith--yet--not even through the toughest times. Never blamed the Lord or Yeshua. The reason I call myself Won by One is b'c Yeshua is the one who hung on the cross for us--for our salvation. I still believe in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, of course. The only reason I've tried different denominations is b'c they were within walking distance for me to attend. I've always adhered to the biggest and most important truth--that Yeshua is my Savior. Thank you again for the welcome.

I believe that God calls us where He wants us. We have a saying that a good Protestant is better than a bad Catholic anyday. And that is the way a true Christian has to be. When Jesus was approached by John regarding someone who was doing works in His name, but who didn't walk with The Apostles (or who was outside of the immediate congregation of Christ), Jesus told him to not forbid him from doing works in His name as long as he didn't speak against Him. That's how we should be with each other.

Thank you so much. I already feel welcome. I'm always a bit nervous about posting b'c I always end up getting jumped for being taken the wrong way. I suppose that's my own fault b'c I wasn't articulate enough. It's funny b'c I always think I'm being perfectly clear. But I'm working on that.

It's not that you aren't articulate enough.
The fault on anyone treating you like that is on them.
Here, we generally treat as we are treated.
But when someone gets out of hand, we just tend to ignore them, let them rant, then they fade away on their own claiming victory. We allow them that victory (whatever it takes to get rid of them).
No one will treat you poorly here. I simply won't allow it. Our Brother Knuckles has a similar story. He is by far one of the most important members here who anchors us. I'd dare call him our forum's rock (even though he'd deny it).
This is a home for the misfits, like the island of broken toys in the Rudolph Animations Specials...

...a home for misfits... LOL Then I do feel right at home b'c that's what I am, a misfit. And that's not a complaint by any means. I enjoy my misfittiness very much.
