My issue is the suspicion that so many Catholics don't seem to realize they're Christian---not only first and foremost, but at all. I've heard more Catholics than I can count on my 20 digits--north and south--say, "I used to be Catholic, now I'm Christian", or, "I'm not Christian, I'm Catholic", statements such as that. I can understand how one could lose what they're there for if they don't study b'c I got confused during mass a lot. I didn't know what to do most of the time myself, being both a new Christian at the time and new to mass. So, my question is for the Catholics here--why do so many Catholics not know that Catholicism is one of over 30,000 (not all verified) denominations of Christianity? It seems almost absurd to not know that much about your own faith. Hello wonbyone, I'm new on this board so I hope that I'm doing things right. I've been a Catholic for about 25 yrs. and I have never heard of a Catholic not knowing that they were christian as well. Many Catholics really don't know what their Church fully teaches and a few can elevate reverence to worship. I, myself, am a Holy Ghost filled born again member of the Catholic Church. Yarddog |

So, I need a good debate, I don't cry, pout or walk away even if I'm losing. Any topic will do, but preferably a Christian/religious topic. Teresa I'll debate you. I say that the Yankees were stupid for hiring Babe Ruth and the Red Sox are even stupiderer for whining about it. The red sox didn't whine about it. That was the rest of the country's reaction. All we ask for is the half butted stereotypes to end. They're inaccurate and insulting. You don't see the Cardinals whining about anything.. that's why they are awesome.  |

I am from Boston and the Sox and everyone else are definitely overpaid. It isn't even a game anymore. Millions are starving all over the world and they get 50 mill a year...give me a break...they aren't even nice in person.

Some are and some arent, but they serve thier purpose. It could be worse and it is better now than in the early 90's right before the strike. The sox made the right call with many telling him to go to hell, or as some people call it. Los Angelos.
