Joe Biden? McCain's camp is gonna have a field day with this.......... I guess McCain won't be able to pick Romney. Between Romney/McCain, that ticket would be worth 1/2 a Billion Dollars. I love the Obama ad with McCain in the Country Club with George Bush Sr. Funny, McCain was born with a Silver Spoon in his mouth (his daddy was a wealthy Admiral in the Navy) and then dumped his first wife (breaking his vow before God and getting divorced) to marry his 2nd wife who was even wealthier from Beer Distributing money (which is said to come from Organized Crime). Now, McCain is trying to bring up Obama's Rezko connection leaving himself open up to Obama's camp bringing up the Keating Five Scandal McCain was personally involved in himself. McCain's camp is reacting to quickly to Obama's moves without thinking about the consequences. The man has 7-8 homes and he has to refer the interviewer to one of his staffers to get the number because he doesn't exactly know? And their trying to call Obama who grew up with Food Stamps "elitest"? For shame McCain. Biden (who is the poorest Senator in the Senate) is going to rip McCain (and Romney if McCain actually picks him) to shreds. And now (as I wrote last week), he's being called out on his answer to everything..."I was a POW in Vietnam! I was a POW in Vietnam! I was a POW in Vietnam!". The War in Iraq? I was a POW in Vietnam! The Economy? I was a POW in Vietnam! His 7+ Homes? I was a POW in Vietnam! His Qualifications to be President? I was a POW in Vietnam! Their even attacking Biden for being "in" Washington for 25 years. Meanwhile, McCain is bragging about being in Washington for over 30 years. If Biden is a "Washington Insider" for being there for 25 years, what does that make McCain for being there for over 30 years? He boasts about being "The Maverick" and bucking The Republican Party line. How could he be a "maverick" when he's voted with Bush 95% of the time? Are people going to really fall for this?

Pros/Cons for/against President? What exactly was Obama doing in Kenya several years ago when he campaigned for Raila Odinga? Raila Odinga "disputed" the results of the Kenyan Elections by having his supporters machete to death some of his political opponents. Raila Odinga claims he is Barack's cousin, and they are close friends. This is the same Odinga who supposedly made a secret pact with the extremists Muslims in Kenya wanting to impose Shariah Law if he won the election. Raila Odinga is also linked with Abdulkader Al Bakri, who is a major financial backer of Al Qaeda. Odinga who landed himself in prison in Kenya, calls Obama his friend. This must be what Obama's Foreign Policy of "change" is going to look like.

Catholics do not believe in gay marriage. Its not biblical! LOL! Does it literally "say" in The Bible that same sex marriages are prohibited? Can you find it? LOL! No. In fact, it's not mentioned. Same sex acts are prohibited, but marriage is not mentioned at all. Right?

Yes, but in the last video you posted, he didnt talk about marriage.
I still believe that the USA needs separation of Church and State. Marriage is a sacrament for us.
If we don't want the USA to allow gay marriage, then we should be just as angry about them allowing remarriage of divorced people that goes against our canon law.
Personally, I don't want a Theocracy. Unless I lived at the Vatican, I don't want my political leader making rules about sacraments.
There are plenty of things messed up in our society, but I think the focus on "gay marriage" has distracted some people from dealing with more important issues.

What two people do is between them and God. Gay Marriage, Gun Rights, all nonsense when we have children going to bed hungry tonight and veterans sleeping in the street because they aren't getting the care we owe them.

Ok, seriously, you cathlolics need to sit down with a priest and ask him what the church believes. WE DO NOT BELIEVE IN GAY MARRAIGE! Man and woman that is it. There is no sex happening in the bible between two men or two woman so cepha, show me where it approves of that. You are starting to sound like a protestant!

Uh, I don't think any Catholic here said that we "do" believe in Gay Marriage. And yes...there was a whole lot of sex happening between same sexes (Sodom). And, I never said either The Church or The Bible approved of it. I merely asked you to show me where in the Bible Homosexual marriage is prohibited. ;D

That's not the point (at least for me) . The Gov. can't regulate everything we believe and make the whole USA Catholic.
Of course homosexual 'acts' are wrong, but so is taking the Lord's name in vain. The Gov. isn't going to make laws for everything WE think is wrong.
I believe that the Gov. is on the right track if it at the least enforces the "laws" of God written on all men's hearts, which basically amounts to the 10 commandments, but not exactly.
Murder (including abortion) must be illegal, as well as stealing, false testimony etc. There are times in civil eras when certain "religious" laws can be enforced by the government (for example, closing things on Sunday) but those are very complex because they work only when the majority agrees with them. (other religions have a "sabbath" but on different days of the week)
Abortion goes against all natural laws against murder, so we have an obligation to fight against it even if the majority disagrees.
But even in the case of abortion, we can't focus only on the political aspects. What about PREVENTION? What are the root causes? What about focusing on helping women and working towards helping them before they have an "unwanted" pregnancy. It seems to me that is the job of the Church.
Civil marriage is to me, one of those "Give to Caesar what is Caesar's" because we as Catholics follow totally different principles with marriage across the board--not just with homosexuality. How many Catholics get a "Civil divorce" but later, the Church calls it an "annulment"?
What if we change our focus to reaching out to Gays/Lesbians and showing them the love of Christ? We do that for divorced people don't we? Remember the cheesy cliche, "Hate the sin, love the sinner"? In all of the many "talks" I've heard about Homosexuality, I've only heard 1 or 2 people ever say that they had ever shown kindness to Gay people.
I really hope that we will follow the footsteps of Jesus and eat and drink with the tax collectors and sinners. That we will put just as much (hopefully more) energy into loving people that need it the most, instead of just telling them how wrong they are.

Fact is, abortion goes up under Republicans and down under Democrats. The only people who do well under Republicans are the wealthy. The middle class and poor always get the short end of the stick. It's reverse Robin Hoodism.
