Eye opening...

A man comes into a church wearing sandals.

When a pair of well dressed women notice this,
they begin to gossip about him. They make judgements
about him wondering what his life is like, how poor he
must be and they begin to "invent" a history for him.

There is a little boy sitting behind them watching listening to this.
The two women rant and rave and go on and create this man's
life story based on the fact that he wore sandals to church and
how inappropriate and disrespectful it was for him to do that
while they felt properly dressed with their fine clothes and
jewels.

Finally, the little boy confused and troubled turns to his mommy
who wasn't paying attention to the gossip of the women and
asks her...

"Mommy, was Jesus disrespectful to the church?"

And his mother asked why.

He replied...

"Because Jesus wore sandals."

One would hope that the woman learned something from that. But i get the feeling that they then starting complaining about how the nasty little boy infront of them was being raised.

It's kind of wierd how some of the most Unchristian folk go to church more than regularly.
