With regards to African Americans, this was used as a way to teach White People that they were inferior, descended from monkeys.
Bush looks like a monkey and there were images of him done up like that too.
However, whites have never been compared "to" monkeys.
So, there is something wrong with it.
I don't expect white people to understand.
They've never been subjected to institutionalized racism the way us minorities have. So, I can accept how you wouldn't see a problem with it. It's not your fault.
