First the bad news...Chicago is not like where you live now.
"Not" rural at all. You might miss the quaintness of living in the country.
Now, the great news...Chicago is majorly Catholic.
You will have a ton of Churches to go to. You'll be surrounded by tons of Catholics. You are going to have a lot of great opportunities to actively practice you faith!
So, I'm very happy for you!
Plus, you'll be around a lot of Hispanics and great food!
It'll be a big change for you, but I know you'll be ok especially when you start to hit those old old old Catholic Churches that have been around for a hundred years or so.
You're going to have a great time, plus, you'll be able to find a much better paying job there than where you are now.
You'll be ok.

Oh dear. Why do you think I live somewhere "rural"? I don't live in the country, I live in a city. It is not a big city, but it is a city. We have no grass, we have sidewalks and cement. Do you think I'm some kind of country hillbilly with an accent? hehehehehe that's funny. And the city we plan to live in permanately (after Chicago) is BIGGER than Chicago w/ about 15 Million people. Actually, I hate the country, I hate dirt and farms and anything "quaint". peace Ohhh! Ok, so then you'll be alright! I personally love the country...they call me the Puerto Rican Redneck especially since I used to drive around in a Monster Truck with a 12" lift kit and Gumbo Mudders. LOL

WHoa!!!!! I don't know what Gumbo Mudders are, but where I come from, you would definitely be a redneck! I forgot you are Puerto Rican. I used to have several really good Puerto rican friends that I lost contact with. The think I remember most about them is that they were really really funny. Is that how everyone is down there? I guess when you live on a beautiful tropical island you don't have any reason to be uptight? teresa Puerto Rico is called "La engreida de Dios". The Spoiled and beloved daughter of God. Yeah, we are funny people. We definitely have a beautiful island full of beautiful people with beautiful lives. We are blessed. And we're like 80% Catholic! Yep...I'm what we in Puerto Rico call a "jibaro" which literally translated into English means "Hillbilly!" YeeeeeHawwww!
