Hail [Mary] full of grace, The Lord is with thee,
Luke 1:28 And the angel being come in, said unto her: "Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Blessed art thou amongst women, And Blessed is the fruit of they womb, [Jesus].
Luke 1:42 And she cried out with a loud voice, and said; "Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Holy Mary,
Luke 1:46 "And Mary said: My soul doth magnify the Lord."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mother of God,
Luke 1:43 "And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?"
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pray for us sinners,
1 Timothy 2:1-4 "I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone, for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now and at the hour of our death,
Luke 8:41-42 And a man whose name was Jairus, head of the synagogue, fell at the feet of Jesus, and begged him to go to his house. For he had an old child girl, of about the age of twelve, and she was near death. And as Jesus went with him, a great crowd pressed him.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Amen.
So be it.

Here is another anatomy of a prayer;
It Is Sweet Music
It is sweet music to the ear to say: I honor you, O Mother! It is a sweet song to repeat: I honor you, O holy Mother! You are my delight, dear hope, and chaste love, my strength in all adversities. If my spirit that is troubled and stricken by passions suffers from the painful burden of sadness and weeping, if you see your child overwhelmed by misfortune, O gracious Virgin Mary, let me find rest in your motherly embrace. But alas, already the last day is quickly approaching. Banish the demon to the infernal depths, and stay closer, dear Mother, to your aged and erring child. With a gentle touch, cover the wary pupils and kindly consign to God the soul that is returning to him. Amen.
By Pope Leo XIII (1810-1903) (Pontiff 1879-1903)
Rest in Mary?
Our strength in all adversities?
She can banish the demon to infernal depths?
That prayer sounds like she is made out to be more than just a mother.
Sounds more like a powerful god of some sort.

Matter of fact, why don't you start a new thread about controversial Christian historical figures and place this post there attacking the Popes' words? I think that would be wayyyy better. Start the thread and I'll transfer your post over there KJB.

Mother of God- i beg your pardon. Mother of the man Jesus. God has no mother, to call her the mother of God is true blasphemy as if she was the mother of God then she would be equal to God. She was a good woman but a sinner like everyone else. All are sinners and come short of the glory of God. To pray that prayer over and over is praying with vain repetion as the heathen do. Repent. Mary can't hear you so don't pray to her. Thats a false god, an idol you make of her. She can't deliver you from demons nor forgive you. Neither can she intercede...we have one intercessor between man and God and that is Jesus.(read Hebrews)Yes she is blessed and a wonderful lady....Jesus here is your mother and your BROTHERS. Jesus said my mothers and brothers are those who hear and obey the word of God....(hey KJB what you doin over here)

Hey, don't correct me. Correct Scripture. It was Elisabeth who called her the mother of the Lord "before" Jesus even was born. I was just repeating the verse. Jesus "is" God. If you don't believe that, then you don't believe in The Holy Trinity. You can't separate Jesus from The Holy Trinity just because you cannot accept The Word of God as written. Mary is the mother of Jesus Christ. Jesus and God The Father are One. Mary, by default, is the mother of God on earth...God made Man. She is. The Bible says it. It doesn't say that she is the mother of The Trinity...just of Jesus Christ and all three parts of The Trinity are separate, but One. Each is God. One God, 3 natures of that One God. Mary is the mother of God The Son. Do you have a scripture that literally states that Mary sinned? Sinners do, but a person who God sees as "highly favoured" hasn't fallen short of the glory of God. God doesn't "highly favour" sinners. So when Jesus prayed repeatedly, you're saying that He was vainly praying? That scripture you are quoting is referring to people who stand up in the middle of a church and pray out loud so that everybody can see. Jesus prayed repeatedly (for example, His repetative prayers at The Garden at Gethsemane). It is Jewish tradition to pray repeatedly. Jesus was against "vain" prayer in public (you should use the whole context of what Jesus "actually" said). Been there. Done that. So who are The Saints in heaven praying for in Revelation 5:8/8:3? Why? Because she is prayed to? Where in The Bible does it state that we cannot pray to Saints? (Oh, by the way, praying doesn't equal worship. Prayer means "request" and there are several types of prayer in scripture. Petition, Worship, Meditation (like the Marian Prayer) and Contemplation.) Nobody ever prays to her for deliverance and guess what, anybody that has faith can cast demons out in Jesus name...at least that's what The Word of God says. Ever read that part? As for forgiving you, whoever said that Mary forgives people? Where'd you get that from? Sorry to correct you but you're wrong. We have only one "Mediator", but we can all intercede on each other's behalves. In fact, it pleases God when we intercede on each other's behalves. Did you read that part that come right before the "one Mediator" verse? You should re-read Hebrews yourself...along with 1 Timothy. Both say "Mediator" not one "intercessor". Ahh! When Jesus showed how obeying Him like Mary obeyed God brings you into His family! Yeah! I love that passage where Jesus upholds Mary as the example of obedience and what our rewards are. Jesus compared the obedient Christian (follower) to Mary. Not bad hey?

Of course, I have scriptural "passages" (not just out of context fragments of verses to prove this) if you want them.
Pick one of my corrections to you and I'll post the scripture.

The Hail Mary...in video form.
Here, you will see in the scriptures, Hail, full of grace. Blessed are you and blessed is the fruit of your womb.
Holy Mary, mother of God (Elisabeth calls her the mother of her Lord [whether Jesus or God, both are God]).
