Hello,
I just wanted to let each one of here know of a popular Orthodox devotion called The Jesus Prayer: O Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner (the usual form of the prayer). This prayer is repeated several times, often times using a Orthodox Prayer Rope (-->http://orthodoxwiki.org/Prayer_rope). This prayer is truly Scriptural (Luke 18:10-14) and has been a long establish Tradition attested by the Holy Fathers of the Church. A popular book about this prayer is called The Way of a Pilgrim seemingly autobiographical, work, possibly by an Athonite monk, detailing the narrator's journey across the country while practicing the Jesus Prayer devoutly, with the help of a prayer rope and the study of the Philokalia (a collection of writings, mostly centering on practicing the virtues and spiritual living in a monastery).
After coming into Orthodoxy, this devotion has been a spiritual transformation for me. It is one of most profound and mystical prayer of the Holy Eastern Orthodox Church, repeated continually, either silently or while practicing Hesychasm (--> orthodoxwiki.org/Hesychasm). I truly love this prayer, and I pray it in the morning and night (100 times each, using a 100-knot Orthodox Prayer Rope) and throughout the day as part of my Prayer Rule. The prayer is known in the Western Church, but it has not reach a strong devotion as in the East.

Another prayer part of Orthodox Spirituality is the Rule of the Mother of God by St Seraphim of Sarov, a very similar devotion to the Catholic Rosary. St. Seraphim of Sarov himself prayed a Rosary that was Orthodox. For all those interested:

After the guidance of my Spiritual Father (Priest), I have begun saying this devotion with my Orthodox Prayer Rope. It is amazing both of our Churches are very similar. I never knew about this until recently.
O Lord Jesus Christ, Have mercy on me, a Sinner!
