Ok, so i go out on my front porch to smoke at around 11:30 last night. I live on a corner of a small highway and a low traffic road. Well, as i walked onto the porch, i hear.."excusa me missa"...it was a black man in MY driveway walking towards me. Ok, so i ran inside, got my german shepherd inside, called the sherrif department. Im home alone because wes is in Georgia working. I have a gun, but that is last resort. The sherriffs get here and the black man told the police that "oh she only called cause im of color". I was sitting on the porch and was thinking yeah your right, i sure did. BUT if it was anybody of any color i would have called as well. Turns out the guy was on probation(no biggy), but had bullets and a joint in his pocket and had somehow wrecked his car in MY colvert(edge of driveway). They hauled him to jail and i went and stayed at my moms house.
So, this poor ol black man was put in jail for his "color" or for what he had done?
I have had to call on white crackheads twice, had a white man blow his brains out in my backyard and so on. This is why i DO NOT LIKE MY AREA! And also why i will call the law quick!

Didn't he say that he had the cops called on him for his color?
(Not that he was in jail for it)
And, he crashed by your house, right?
Did you think he was going to throw the bullets at you?
LOL!
You were more dangerous to him than he was to you!
LOL!
It looks like he was coming to tell you that he crashed into your property.

Hubby sometimes tells me stories about Howard Stern about his childhood. His parents I guess refused to move when their neighborhood started going downhill....I guess growing up in an all-black school was really hard.

Not everyone has as much money as you steven! We will move as soon as i graduate and get a job!
The man was on probation and had BULLETS in his pocket...not sure if a gun was present and he HAD drugs. It is his own fault. I did not know what the hell he was doing because i could not even see the car that he had crashed it was black also. The sherriff told me i did the right thing even the dispatcher on the phone. By the way this is not the hood, it is actually a mostly white area, but trailor white lol.
Yes is smoke...surely im not the first person you know of to do so....

There are all black schools that are great. And all Hispanic schools that are great. And all White schools that are great. It's not the color that determines the type of school it turns out to be, but the nature of the people attending. I've lived in White areas that were trashy and in Minority areas that were classy and vice versa. It's more economic than racial. Well to do people of color do just as well as Whites in well to do areas and poor Whites do just as horribly as colored people in the same area. |

You did do the right thing, but I didnt' see you write that he was complaining about being jailed because he was black. He said you only called the police because he was black. Yes, it does sound like the only reason she called the cops was because he was black. Personally, I wouldn't have. Then again I live in a neighborhood where if I would have screamed, lots of people would be out to hear me.

Em, it was pitch black...my husband is not hear...just me and MY CHILD.!!!
Cepha, i would have called if it were a white guy my age..i cant help that i do get scared at home by myself. Did you not read of some of the things i have gone through living here? I have phobias..thats why i take medicine called kolonopin.
Em, i believe you would have done the same thing if you had a child at home with you. If it were just me, i would have let mason(dog) out and got the gun. But i have someone else to take care of not just myself. And i dont have a close neighbor, we own a few lots of land that surround my house.

Marcie, first of all, I didn't know it was dark and you had your son with you. I would have gone inside as well under those circumstances, probably not called the cops right away, but would have waited to see what happened.
Also, our bodies are God's temples. We should keep them as pure as we possibly can, and free from the filth of this world.

But what was he doing in my neiborhood anyhow? What was he doing in my ditch, and with bullets in his pocket? And drugs? I dont want this type of person on my property. Do you think i would go to downtown port arthur and pull a stunt like this? Heck no, us white folk get shot. Just like his black self could have if he tried to pursue me anymore than what he did.
