Obama won't denounce the Iranian government but he doesn't have a problem meddling in Hondorus or snuggling up with a dicatator like Hugo Chavez of Venezuala. A. We can't go against a government we helped put into place in Iran (Google Iran/Contra Affair). B. Obama has been criticized for being too silent on Honduras, so I don't know where you get your news from...oh yeah, "Fixed" News! LOL C. You do know that Venezuela is one of our oil suppliers and when American families where freezing to death, Hugo Chavez sent "at cost" oil to help American families while Big American Oil Companies were raking in record breaking profits, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah! Have you ever heard of Standard (that's not the name...I can't think of it) Oil? After WWll the U.S. came up with the Marshall plan to rebuild Europe. The Marshall Plan also included OPEC which helped countries with untapped oil start their own oil producing industries so they could compete against Standard Oil. Standard Oil an American company had a monopoly over the entire world, oil, supply. Today the U.S. buys its oil from 26 different countries. Seventy percent of our oil comes from Canada.

According to the news reports; The White House is trying to say that ,”duly,” elected Manuel Zelaya of Honduras was over thrown in a military coup and Obama is joining with the United Nation in demanding his return to power. The only full truth in the White House story that the press is so willingly telling is that Manuel Zelaya was elected as President in Honduras in 2005 taking office in 2006. While President Zelaya became buddies with Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez and as his actions in the last few days have shown, seemed to like the way Chavez handles his, “Presidency,” because he attempted to do what Chavez did in Venezuela and make his term of office permanent. Zelaya tried to force a Constitutional referendum which would have allowed him to stay President for life. When the legislative and judicial entities in Honduras balked at the idea Zalaya had his new buddy Chavez print referendum ballots for him and then distributed the ballots to force a referendum vote.

And? What does this have to do with the price of Tomatoes in Indiana? What does it matter what a 3rd world country does (as long as it doesn't affect us)?

Doesnt his country like have the most oil tappable? That is why he can give and give. The us is scared i think of running out of its own. Weren't the Right Wing Extremist Radicals all crying out how we had enough oil to sustain ourselves for years and years? What was it they were chanting? www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2009/jun/04/john-barrasso/sen-john-barrasso-claims-democrats-against-drillin/There's enough oil shale in the Rocky Mountain West alone to power America for the next 100 years.Marcie, RWER's think it's ok to drill for oil if the big oil companies they have stock in are going to profit from it, but not to help out the poor struggling American families that need it.

Ok, the point of drilling is to get more oil available so that the price of oil will drop.
