The missing link--Protestants

Protestants state that they can trace their religion back to the original Apostles. Yet there is not one shred of evidence to prove their belief.
Is there anybody that can prove that they can trace their church back to the Apostles besides the Catholic Church?

I thought NCC's (Non-Catholic Christians) would have jumped at the chance to defend why they believe they are directly linked to The Apostles.

Matter of fact, the wierdest one I've read is that The King James Bible was written in the 1st Century!
