What do Catholics and Jesus Christ have in common?
They both love Mary as their Mother.
Why don't Protestants love Mary?

How did He love His mother? As a mother. So how are we to love His mother? As a _ _ _ _ _ _! Imagine that...we're supposed to love our enemies. How should we feel towards the "woman" who brought our salvation and eternal life through her womb? I'd say a little more than just grateful.

Cause we do lol I know that baptists talk more about esther than Mary...which baffles me They'll push any woman, BUT Jesus' own mother. Why Esther? Did Esther give birth to Christians' Savior? What woman did more than Mary for mankind? Not one. Mary contributed the most to mankind...more than any other woman period. Heck, even Esther wouldn't be saved without Mary's work! Hail Mary full of grace! Blessed art thou! And blessed is the Fruit of they womb Jesus! And, what does the Bible teach about a fruit and the tree that bears it? That a good fruit can only come from a good tree! And Jesus said nothing good can come from anything bad! So, what does that make Mary?

I love Mary as a "sister in Christ'. I love my mommy, Debbie, like a mother.

I love Mary as a "sister in Christ'. I love my mommy, Debbie, like a mother. So then, you don't obey Jesus when He told us to love her as He loved her, right? Remember, The Word of God teaches that she is our mother (Revelation 12:17). Why do you reject this scripture?

That's Israel, but we are talking about that in another thread.

Emily,
Mary was and is and will always be the mother of Jesus. St. John called her "Mother" also. I just don't see what the problem is.
Do you call Israel your "spiritual Mother"?

Mary is Jesus's physical mother, Israel is His spiritual mother.
And no, I am not Jewish.

Trust me, The Nation of Israel would NOT receive her or anybody else that hold the testimony of Jesus Christ! The Bible says that this "mother" in Revelation 12 are the children of those that hold the testimony of Jesus Christ! Therefore, Israel (which doesn't hold the testimony of Jesus Christ) cannot possibly be Jesus mother! It's scripturally an impossibility! And, it's contrary to scripture to believe that.

Mary is Jesus's physical mother, Israel is His spiritual mother. And no, I am not Jewish. So, you're saying that Jesus has a "spiritual" mother that rejected Him and persecuted Him?
