What?? You had to BUY the message of salvation??
Anyway, you know what I was asking. Where did your Bible really come from? What makes the Bible you bought from Barnes and Noble any different from other books that were there for sale? Why is that Bible different from a cook book or another book there? Who made "the Bible" the Bible?

What if they were transported to the Christian bookstore in non-Christian trucks? LOL
No, actually, I understand why Alfie wouldn't do that. A lot of bookstores sell some very anti-Christian or just plain terrible stuff. It makes sense to give the profit for your Bible to a Christian bookstore instead.

God the Holy spirit as he worked through the apostles and others, and through the bishops who are the representatives of the faithful who decided what was and what was not canonical.

I would never buy a Bible from a non Christian bookstore. Why not? That makes no sense........ In IC.XC, Ramon Catholics have the security and peace of mind of having the seal of the Impramatur to assure us that we are purchasing a "true" Holy Bible no matter where we buy it. But, I have to agree with Alfie's take on this...that is how she gets her sense of security in believing that she is getting an authentic King James Bible. Gotta respect that. Still, I'd get mine at Barnes and Noble too if there was no Catholic Book Store around! ;D
