What is The Republican solution for solving the problems with Health Care today? Do they even have a plan? What have they offered up (besides criticism of The Senate & The Congress' proposals)? Does anybody know?

In all my research, all I found was a 4 page proposal. 4 PAGES! Amazing! It reminds me of the time they were ranting on the President of The United States and his Budget plans. When asked about what they offered in response to it, they came up with a proposal that had NO NUMBERS or figures in it. Now, I don't know about ya'll, but how in the Hades are you going to have a Budget Plan with NO NUMBERS? Now, their doing the same thing with Health Care. Well, as The Wall Street Journal said, the strengthening of the economy is due to President Obama's Stimulus Plan. If he does the same with health care that he did with the economy, we're going to be allllllllright! Obama! Obama! Obama!

The plan should not be 1000 pages, it is full of bs What's the Republican Plan Marcie? Do you even know what they've proposed without having to Google it? Did you even know that they had put out a 4 page plan? And, why should a plan that is repsonsible for 11% of our national budget "not" be 1000 pages? Why is it B.S.? I'm happy that President Obama has been very specific with his plan for health care and has been careful not to leave any loopholes that the Big Insurance Companies could squeeze through...it was the lack ot regulation in the previous administration that alllowed the Big Insurance Companies to put us in the mess we're in today. But! ;D I look forward to your answers to my questions!

No, did not know of their proposal...have not seen or heard of it on any news channel, and i watch cnn and fox.
Its B.S Because....noone can read it without a lawyer and then maybe still cant understand what they are reading. Not sure why it has to be like that...if the american people vote on it then we should be able to READ it and understand it.

No, did not know of their proposal...have not seen or heard of it on any news channel, and i watch cnn and fox. Me neither. I basically (for the summer) only watched CNN and Fox too. I could understand why Fox wouldn't have let us know about it (like they don't televise the Tea Parties because so few people show up). I guess CNN just didnt' find it newsworthy. Besides, what can you say about 4 pages? Not much. These documents aren't supposed to be easy to read. Of course lawyers are needed. Those lawyers are paid for by public tax dollars already. Your local Senator/Congressperson is supposed to tell you what it means. That's their job. That's what their supposed to do...read these things and share with you what they mean. That's why we sent them to Washington...to keep an eye on the Government. President Obama (who was a lawyer himself) made sure that there'd be no loopholes for Big Insurance Companies to scam the American People...that's why it goes into so much detail. That's not reasonable. Laws are very specific things. Even if you could read it, are you going to sit down and spend hours and hours and hours of your personal time to do it? I don't think the majority of the public has the time to do that. Again, that is the job of our Representatives. That's why we voted for them.

But do you think they have read the WHOLE bill that they are to vote on? I DONT! No. I don't think any of them have enough time to read the whole bill. But again, that's what they have lawyers for. The lawyers read the bill and tell them what it says.

Anyway, back to The Republican "lack of" response to The President's Plan(s).
What are they offering to counter it?
Have they drafted a new proposal (besides the 4 pieces of paper they submitted before)?
Do they have a counter-plan to The President's?
Or, are all they doing is just criticizing without contributing anything to solve our nation's health care problems?
The majority of Americans want health care reform.
How are the Republicans responding to America's wants?

How are the Republicans responding to America's wants? Republicans have mentioned tort reform, medical savings plans and allowing people to purchase health care plans outside of their home states so that insurance companies are competitive. You keep bring up medicare and medicaid. There is all kind of examples of abuse, like how medicaid pays as much 8 times for a medical item. Medicare is going broke so how do you think national health care is going to get paid for?

Medicare is going broke so how do you think national health care is going to get paid for? "mentioned"? "mentioned"? They could mention all they want...where is their PLAN! LOL! They had 8 years to do it and they did NOTHING! Now, all their crying about is how "Big Insurance" companies are going to suffer if Health Insurance has competition from The Government! Whatever happened to "free market economy"? BUT! According to Republicans, oer 80% of America is happy wth Medicaid and Medicare, right? And it's Government run health insurance, right? There is farrrrrrrrrrrrr more fraud in private insurance (which Republicans are trying to protect). And why is Medicare going broke? Because of the private insurance companies that are gouging it which is what Obama wants to stop. The Party is over for big business...there are no more Republicans in leadership positions. Health Care Reform is going through no matter what Republicans try to do. It's it and that's that. And, as The Stimulus Plan is succeeding ( online.wsj.com/article/SB125185379218478087.html ) and as the Cash for Clunkers program succeeded beyond expectations ( www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/2009/08/clunkers_cash12.html ), so too will the President's Health Care Reform plan succeed! ;D
