Steve,
Can you comment on this below from a Catholic standpoint please?
Below is what I believe.
God must reveal Christ to us or we can’t be saved
John 6:44-45 No man can come to me, except the Father which has sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. It is written in the prophets, “And they shall be all taught of God.” Every man therefore that has heard, and hath learned from the Father, comes unto me.
Jeremiah 31:33-34 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, says Yahweh, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know Yahweh: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, says Yahweh: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
Isaiah 30:21 And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way, walk in it, when you turn to the right hand, and when you turn to the left.

Steve, Can you comment on this below from a Catholic standpoint please? Below is what I believe. God must reveal Christ to us or we can’t be saved John 6:44-45 No man can come to me, except the Father which has sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. It is written in the prophets, “And they shall be all taught of God.” Every man therefore that has heard, and hath learned from the Father, comes unto me. Hi Kenny! We are in agreement. It is God who brings us to Christ by His own personal revelation to us. As far as salvation outside of God goes, The Catholic Church teaches that one could be saved even if they don't believe in God because we place no limits on God's mercy. "The Constitution of the Church""The Catholic Church professes that it is the one, holy catholic and apostolic Church of Christ; this it does not and could not deny. But in its Constitution the Church now solemnly acknowledges that the Holy Ghost is truly active in the churches and communities separated from itself. To these other Christian Churches the Catholic Church is bound in many ways: through reverence for God's word in the Scriptures; through the fact of baptism; through other sacraments which they recognize."
5. The non-Christian may not be blamed for his ignorance of Christ and his Church; salvation is open to him also, if he seeks God sincerely and if he follows the commands of his conscience, for through this means the Holy Ghost acts upon all men; this divine action is not confined within the limited boundaries of the visible Church." www.religioustolerance.org/rcc_salv.htm

The Church also teaches that there is no salvation outside the Catholic Church. This does not mean that God only saves Catholics. It does mean that all salvation comes from Jesus Christ through the Catholic Church even if the person saved has an invincible ignorance of the Church. This means even anti-Catholics can possibly be saved. IOW, God, who can read hearts determines who He will save.

Yes, even those who never heard of Christ can be saved.
This does not contradict that there is no salvation outside of the Catholic Church. Even Churches that are anti-Catholic, if they have at least baptism or the Bible or SOMETHING that is true from our faith, they are united with us if only in that aspect. All Christian truths and doctrines have the same source--the Catholic Church, so those aspects of them are "IN" the Church even if they don't know it, or if they oppose the thought.
Those who are not Christian or not even religious, but who search for/accept truth as they understand it, are responding to God's truth as He revealed it to all, esp. through His creation (see the beginning of Romans). It's not for us to decide the fate of anyone, only God can do that, but we certainly can't automatically condemn anyone. But if people who don't believe in Christ are saved, it is not "Apart from Christ" or "Outside of Christ" that they are saved! It is still through Christ and His sacrifice that they are saved, even if they don't know it.
Most Protestants accept and teach the idea that all children (until a certain age, that they don't agree on) are "saved" because of their innocence in regards to actual sin. Even though they have a "sinful nature", most Protestants assume they will be saved because of God's mercy or "they didn't know any better" etc.
So, Catholics have a similar idea, but we don't stop at a certain age with God's mercy. It doesn't mean everyone will automatically be saved, but it certainly doesn't mean people are automatically condemned because they never heard of Jesus (even Jesus said He didn't come to condemn the world but to save it!). Also, it means that people won't be automatically condemned because they were born in a certain country or a certain family who brainwashed them their whole lives to believe Jesus is someone other than who he really is. (like Muslims who believe He is only a Prophet and not God's Son).
