I've worshipped with Lutherans, Episcopalians, Baptists, Pentecostals and Non-Denominationals.
I've prayed with and have praised God with Muslims and with Jews.
I found it to be a beautiful experience. I've felt God in these people.
1/2 of my family are devout Pentecostals (we have about 5 Pastors that have their own churches). We've never had any problems. Not one.

No, I have never 'worshipped' with anyone else and don't want to, don't need to. I feel comfortable with my own people who share my beliefs as well as theirs. There is no reason for me to step foot in another 'church' when I've found the truth in my own...why go anywhere else?

Well once my aunt who is catholic took me with my mom, myself and my younger brother to church. Church was in Valparaiso University one of the beautiful and huge church she showed us from inside. And inside the gate there was water who she did cross sign with and behind her i also touch the water and do that cross sign thing which she told me to "You do not have to do that" That was my first and last experienced with church. I am never been to any other church till than.

There is no reason for me to step foot in another 'church' when I've found the truth in my own...why go anywhere else? I suggest it. It's a beautiful experience (provided you do it with someone who respects your faith). There was never any reason for me to worship God in another Church. But there was also no reason to "not" worship God in another Church and I didn't allow the fact that I wasn't in a Catholic Church to stop me from worshipping God. I've worshipped God at a Bus Stop. I've worshipped God on a Roof while working. I've worshipped God while driving. The where or the with whom never even entered my mind. But hey, if you want to "only" worship with Catholics, more power to you!

I strongly suggest to any non-Catholic that they take their Bible to a Catholic Church and sit down in the front Pew and read the book of Revelations. They will be shocked that they will be sitting inside of The Church described there physically speaking. Then, all the candles and the altar and the incense all make sense. Then, they can understand the "why"'s of a Catholic Church.

My pentecostal experience began at the Cottonbowl in Dallas, Texas at a Bill Bright crusade. Then I was led by the Lord to Christ the King church in South Bend, Indiana during the charasmatic movement in the catholic church. From there to Christian Center, Pastor Lester Sumrall, and then to a movement called Manifested Sons of God.
Now I am fellowshipping with a pentecostal church here in our city. But, my husband and I attend Messianic meetings with christian jews, and wherever else we hear the Lord is at work NOW!

Emily, the reason you thought it was "wierd" is because you did not have a clue of what was going on. Try to google "mass" and see if anything pops up. Ive never tried it, but i have a book covering the mass and its helpful.

Did you know that the biggest Pentecostal worshippers are the Catholic's Charismatics. I like to refer to them as "The Halleluyarians". I got invited to a service on a Tuesday night (which I found odd). About 1:45 minutes into the services of just singind and dancing and praising, I said to myself..."Hey! I got tricked! This ain't Catholic!" Then a Priest came out and started a Mass. The next day I called the Priest and asked him what was up with that. And he introduced me to the Charismatic movement. 1/2 my family is Pentecostal. I swear, outside of the Eucharist, I couldn't tell the two apart. As for me, I'm more the pious silent type (like Jesus tells us to be). I'm not knockin' anybody else's worship because I firmly believe with all my heart that God is pleased by the worship of one's heart (not by their manner). I beleive that God accepts all sincere worship to Him. 5 minutes of a sincere prayer is worth more than 3 hours of a show.

Ive been to a Catholic church before...thought it was very weird... I went to a non-Catholic Christian services that I thought were wierd. People were jumping up and down and screaming and yelling and dancing. And out of the whole service, they never read a passage of scripture. They'd only take a fragment of a verse here and a verse there and create a new belief right there on the spot. They'd form a completely new doctrine as if it was The Word of God. Yet, the belief couldn't be found in The Holy Bible. Emily, if I lived close to you, I'd invite you to sit with me in a Church with our Bibles in hand and I'd show you how everything in The Bible is done in the Church. From how the Priest dresses to the altar to the tabernacle to the candles to the incense to the annointing oil to the holy water to the Mass itself...it's all Biblical.

In all fairness, I've heard of Catholic services where the Priests have taken liberties with "how" to worship and I've been soundly against this. They are fooling with God's work when they do this. It's just not Protestants, but some Catholics have gone off the path. I believe Protestants can worship God in however they want to. Most do it reverantly and validly, but there are some out there (along with their Catholic counterparts) who completely make a mockery of worshipping God...however, I leave that up to God to judge them. There is this beautiful scene in this movie called "The Apostle" with Robert DuVall where he was a baptist Pastor. He saw a Catholic Priest baptizing someone in a river. He put up his hands and said something to the effect of "Glory, glory! You do it your way, I'll do it mine and together, we'll bring them home! Glory!" That scene brings tears to my eyes. Even as I type this I'm all choked up with a lump in my throat. Why? Because "THAT" is what Christianity is about...inclusion, not exclusion. I wish I could get that scene on video so I can post it. It's a great story about a Pastor who loves God so much. Even though he made a mistake (well, I wouldn't call what he did a mistake), he was still full of The Spirit. I love that character. Here is a clip of the movie (though not the clip I spoke of): youtube.com/watch?v=GimtDrTVv9AThis is one great movie. I love watching it over and over. I once was that man who Billy Bob Thorton plays. And I too was brought to my knees by God's power and he wiped away my own pride.

I was sitting in Mass this sunday and was thinking of how protestants can not respect they beauty in the Mass. I think most have never been to Mass and just go off of what they have heard. I just dont see a normal person being turned off by the presance of a Mass. When your there, its like you are surrounded by Holyness!

Maybe you should attend one, now that you are older and maturer. Then you would be able to see exactly how we worship the Lord and how we do not worship Mary or any of those other misconceptions that many Protestants are taught.
