Watchman, why do you come here? Is it because you want to "convert" us? Is it because you just want to prove us wrong? Is it to make friends? Are you just bored? I come here for none of those reasons, just to discuss, the same reason I go to all the other forums, however this forum is ran by a nasty little man that brings the worse out of me. Sorry about that. You cannot have a logical conversation with Him. Even if you tell Him you believe in the real presence of Christ in Communion, he says you can't because you are not Catholic, and even after telling him that you are anti denominational he continue to claim that you promote denominations, and so on and so on. Worse of all he calls himself a Christian but denies that Jesus is the only way to the Father, and if proof is that it doesn't say only between the and way, which is utterly ridiculous and a worse attack on ''OUR'' shared faith, than anything I could ever say about the Catholic church.

You cannot have a logical conversation with Him. No, Teresa can. You cannot have a logical conversation with me because when I begin to challenge your beliefs and ask you for proof, you refuse to engage me. And if you do supply proof and I question it, you become beligerant and verbally abusive. You said you don't believe in The Catholic definition of The Real Presence (Transubstantiation) calling it a man-made doctrine. Remember? Or are you going to deny that now and retract that statment? Are you saying that you believe in the traditional Christian Doctrine of Transubstantiation that The Catholic Church revealed to The World? How can you state that you are anti-denominational, yet believe this? " God true universal Church is all true believers regardless of what denomination they are in." fideidefensor.proboards80.com/index.cgi?board=debatingboard&action=display&thread=489#8622You don't share Teresa's faith. In fact, you call it satanic. I share Teresa's faith and she shares mine. And...you never posted on scripture that said that Jesus is the only way to heaven. Not one. Meanwhile, what did Jesus say to Christian Believers who were "saved" when they didn't do the works required of them (The Father's Will)? Matthew 25: 44"They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?'
45"He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.'
46"Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."So, merely acknowledging that Jesus Christ is everybody's personal Lord and Savior is not enough to say. Jesus is everyone's Lord and Savior (not just Christians). He is The Lord and a person's disbelief in Him doesn't make Him any less so. Watchman, I gave you a chance for your birthday present...and you (unable to control your nature), still insulted me and called me a name. (So, Teresa, this is what you want here? He's had more than 3 warnings. What did Jesus say about people that denied His Priests? Put Jesus' words before your own desire to try to show him something...he's obviously not here to have any type of intellectual exchange. His job is to try to turn me around...which won't happen...and that's why he becomes enraged and verbally abusive and loses control [as he admitted blaming me for the worst coming out of him] while claiming to be led by The Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit doesn't guide people to insult and to slander The Church.)

You have been show mercy and compassion.
You have been shown consideration and have been forgiven for your tresspasses and how is it that you repay those who have reached out to you?
With statements like this...I come here for none of those reasons, just to discuss, the same reason I go to all the other forums, however this forum is ran by a nasty little man that brings the worse out of me. Actions speak so much louder than words. I believe that my friends' actions here have been right. I believe yours have been wrong. I will preach The Gospel with my actions along with "these" words: “ Preach the Gospel at all times and when necessary use words.” St. Francis of Assisi

I vote to ban.
I said, please don't call people names.
Then he called names. What more can I say?
I think he voted himself off with that comment.

I think he voted himself off with that comment. teresa I'm probably the only person who does it like this (and JHardin, my buddy at Guidean's Sword). I give a person chances. Just like The Bible says to do... Titus 3:9-11But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless.
Warn a divisive person once, and then warn him a second time.
After that, have nothing to do with him.
You may be sure that such a man is warped and sinful; he is self-condemned.

Check this out Teresa, first, he expresses some kind of disillusionment that you are "not" his friend. Then, when you asked him if he comes here to make friends, he said that he didn't come here to make friends: WATCHMAN:"P.s. I thought Teresa was my friend, I guess not" TERESA:"Watchman, why do you come here?...Is it to make friends?" WATCHMAN:"I come here for none of those reasons..."

Romans 14 says Do not allow what you consider good to be spoken of as evil.
Watchman can call me a big fat dork loser, but the Church? That's where I draw the line.
How many swords do you have?

No. Read the scripture I posted that speaks about a person who continually acts in the nature that he did. And I'll debate anybody (Catholic or not)..."debate", not accept their verbal abuse (two different things). Watchman didn't want to debate. He just wanted to slander The Church without being challenged. He said it himself, he wasn't going to answer every question posted to him. in fact, he only addressed about 1 out of 10 questions posted to him. That's not how one debates.

Sorry CC. I'm just being somewhat of a hyper-active dork. "Sword" I don't mean a literal sword. (I don't think I mean that) I mean it symbollically, like to defend somthing (the Church) "Sword" can also mean the Word of God. I once had a "vision" where St. Dominic put a sword into my heart. Still not totally sure what that's all about....

Ok, maybe I sort of know... Papal response to the Cathars
The Pope believed that the Cathars were a greater threat than Muslims.
1. Sent the Cistercians (two Cardinals) to the region to preach and win back the people.
2. In 1198, St. Dominic and the Bishop he was under to the region to again preach and win back the people this was somewhat successful but not completely. St. Dominic uses the Rosary which he was given by Mary to defeat the pro-death Cathars. The Rosary Mary said would be his sword and he would be a great knight. Through the mysteries St. Dominic preach the pro-life Gospel to the people to win them back. The mysteries are everything the Cathars were against. Also when the Church forbid the private reading of scripture in 1229, the Rosary was a way to stay connected to the key elements of the Gospel. The Rosary is truly the highlight film of the life of Christ and Our Lady, a little Gospel. ...
... St. Dominic used the Rosary (the little Gospel) to spread the truth. The rosary is a weapon, a great sword that cut deep into the Cathar heresy and preserved the TRUTH among the people.
