By the way, I don't know if you noticed it, but you didn't provide the Book from which you retrieved those verses from. That would certainly go a long way in you proving your case. I Cor 15:51 I left this one out before it is 1 Thess. 4:15-18 The other I'll have to look up again but even without it these 2 suffice to shew wfrom where the theology comes... And You are quite awaqre that I have looked and reac catholic catechism, let's not get sidetracked ok... Justice... Now, let's take that verse into consideration of it's context: 1 Thessalonians 4 1Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more. 2For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus. 3For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: 4That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; 5Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God: 6That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified. 7For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness. 8He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit. 9But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another. 10And indeed ye do it toward all the brethren which are in all Macedonia: but we beseech you, brethren, that ye increase more and more; 11And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you; 12That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing. 13But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

And You are quite awaqre that I have looked and reac catholic catechism, let's not get sidetracked ok... Justice... Sidetracked? You were the one who introduced The Catechism into this exchange, not me. When you read The Catechism, did you read the notes? The little numbers by the sections are notes listed at the bottom of the pages their on listing the scriptures from which they are derived.

I'll await your other fragments so that we can begin this exchange, but as I posted...let's take it out of the Anti-Catholic Forums and go to The Rapture Forum. fideidefensor.proboards80.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=scripture&thread=296&page=1

One page is as good as another to me... it's all cyber space... Justice... Ok , if that's true, you'll have no problem going to another page. Over here, it's off topic. Over there, it's on topic. fideidefensor.proboards80.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=scripture&thread=296&page=1I've set up what the definition of "rapture" is according to Wikipedia (feel free to express your own definition) along with what you propose are scriptural proofs of the "rapture". I've also included references to Protestant groups that disagree with your beliefs (so that I couldn't be called biased just because of my Catholicism) and scriptures disproving the 19th Century notion of John Nelson Darby.

I don't need the definition of "rapture" from wikipedia...lol... what a source... nor do I need the opinions of what someone else says the rapture is... I gave the young lady the scriptures behind the theology of the "rapture" any ideas on that of my own are simply that, my own and un-needed as long as there is scripture to support my post... Justice... Well put GJ ...well put. Hey WH! ;D Did you notice that I asked him for "his" definition of what The Rapture was and he never posted it? I could post that the sky is purple and refer someone to a couple of lines in the Bible to as proof, but I should be able to connect the two. If I cannot, then there is no proof. If one is going to try to prove something, they have to actually connect the belief to the scripture...not just point and say "there it is". That's not proof. When Jesus taught, He would quote the scripture "then" explain what the scripture meant and "that's" how one proves a point. That's why I had to post Wikipedia's definition; Because he wouldn't (couldn't?) give us in his own words what The Rapture means. Scriptures don't support "theology". Theology is the study "of" Religion. Theology is "not" Doctrine.

Hey guys, give me some of the forums you've been on. I want to be kicked off too!! So far, I haven't got kicked off of church USA but people stop responding to my posts. That's fine with me, so far I have the last word on the Mary post. I left them with some quotes from Luther and Calvin about the ever-virginity of Mary and other respectful things they said. No one posted after that.

If your email is visible here, then maybe they put you on a ban list. You know that they lurk here and view everything we write, but don't have the courage to enter because they know that they will get owned here. I would love it for them to come here, but they are aftraid. Can you blame them though?

If I were trying to disprove and to protest a religion, I would love for members of that religion to come on my board so that I could prove to all of my counterparts how wrong that religion is.
To "not" allow them on would definately make me look as if I wasn't confident enough or able to disprove them.

I hate to say it but it makes me kinda....proud...humble.... T, You are judged by your enemies. So what does that say when people who are wrong are your enemies? That because you are the opposite of them, you are right.

well, I wouldn't call them enemies... I used to think like them and I feel sorry for them but more sorry for all the people who think that is what CHristianity is all about and therefore reject it. I was one of the people that saw just weird stuff with Christianity(when I was an atheist) and I never would have become a Christian were it not for Supernatural revelation. When I first became a Christian, I wanted to be a nun, but was crushed when I found out I was going to a protestant church and they didn't have nuns! But I stayed there and after several more years the anti Catholic brainwashing was complete. They aren't my enemies, there are a lot of good things with protestants and even end times obsessed protestants. They do love Jesus and therefore are not my enemies, but I am motivated to debate them so they can have the fullness of Christianity like I now do and so that we can all be one. Obviously we aren't going to unite with them because that would be like divorcing yourself. They have to come to us. And be reconsiled to the ones that they left in the "reformation".

"Awww! That is so cute! I think about The Priesthood, but not yet. I still have my two daughters to raise. When I'm done with that, then I'll seriously consider Seminary. Deaconship is definately doable, but I have to get married first.
To be able to offer the Sacrament of The Holy Eucharist I feel is the greatest job next to (but no less than) evangelization. "
It's okay that I'm not a nun... God gave me a husband instead. (who became Orthodox last sep. but that's another story) I hope he converts please pray for him. He won't talk about religion much with me anymore because I win every debate, so I gave up and just pray for him now. How old are your girls? We have 3 girls, 5 1/2, 4 and 2 1/2 we're going to have them baptized in like 1 month. My husband will let them be baptized in Catholic church, but he says they have to be dunked 3 times the Orthodox way! That's okay though it might get messy as they hate having water on their heads. You should be a deacon!!!! I hope my husband does (after he converts of course) that would be so cool. The deacon's wife at my church was my sponsor and so I got to know them really well, they are awesome and my biggest Catholic role models.
