No cepha, i can handle oil prices rising at the same time gas prices do, but that is not what is happening, gas prices are high because of taxes gasoline, while oil is down. (check the stocks)











Actually, you got that backwards...we give them BILLIONS of dollars in "tax breaks". We give THEM money. Again, Bush did this for his big oil buddies.

President Obama is working to get that money back into the hands of the people who created that wealth...the working class American.

Well, since The American Taxpayer is the number one caretaker of people who get cancer from smoking, we should be getting some of that money back from the people who are costing our economy so much money in medical care.


People on MEDICAID are the ones that are costing taxpayers so much money to medical care. And Obama wants to give them more money.

I dunno but in my area with is mostly refineries, are having lots of layoffs, so around here people are not so happy.

Well, those people need to do like the Indians from India and the Africans and the Asians who come here, get and education and get a different job.

Excuse me but most of the refinery workers must have at least 60hrs of college or a degree, like say engineers. Very high paid positions that they have worked hard for.

It's not the Government's job to guarantee everybody a job.

NO, But the Government sure is making it their JOB. Bailing out GM twice and AIG. What ever happened to companies filing bankrupcy?

This is after all (according to Republicans) a "free market economy" and you can blame them for shipping all those American jobs overseas with their deregulation.

You're mad at the wrong person. President Obama just got her about 78 days ago. These problems didn't just appear...they've been here now for a good 8 years.

The last time the gas tax was raised, it was by Bush.
You need to address your former President, not the current President.

And I agree that the working class get's it harder while big oil companies not only get tax breaks, but we also give them money back (even though they were the only company in the US to make record breaking profits while the rest of the nation suffered under high gas prices).

Yeah? And? Most of the country is on Medicaid. The US is the number one provider of Health Care to American Citizens. What? Do you want to cut your fellow Americans out of the health care that their own tax dollars paid for in the first place?

I agree with you there 101%, but the bailouts were Bush's idea. Not Obama's. That was done during the last Presidency. All Obama could do is to impliment it in a more regulated manner (which is exactly what he's doing).

Well, that's all you Republicans do...always talking about what's "going" to happen and how bad things are going to be without looking at where these problems came from in the first place...the Republicans who controlled the Presidency, The Senate and The Congress for the past 8 years.

And of course there is congtroversy among Republicans...he's undoing all the damage they left us with. He's fixing their problems and guess what...2/3's of the country approves of his work. That two 2/3's include Democrats and 1/3 of Republicans too.

Listen, they lost. They have to accept it. Things are going to be different. Gone are the days of giving big tax breaks to millionaires and billionaires and putting that burden on the working man.

Gone are the days of closing down social programs and of allowing American Companies to ship jobs overseas.

That's all over with.

Obama is wiping the floor clean with the Republicans.

It's it and that's that.

He won.

The American People chose him by 57%.

Today, 64% approve of him.

Know what that means?

That more people support him now than when he was elected.

Now relax, sit back and enjoy the greatest stock market rally since World War II and the consistantly growing economy for the past 2 months and the rise in housing purchases for 2 months in a row.

His plans are actually working.

What are you so upset about?

Good! They can stop smoking and have a healthier lifestyle! LOL!

Smoking's bad for you anyway!

They should be spending that money on getting an education or on food or on their electricity bills, not on inhaling tobacco that causes cancer!

I am just concerned about MY family. My husbands work has just laid off 2 more people. That to me is not a good sign for the economy agree?

I am in college and will prolly have 2 different degrees, but that does not garuntee me a job. Lets just hope things start to turn around.

My question to you is...in four years...say the economy is bad are you still going to be blaiming bush?

Of course your local sitution affects you. And it's tough.
You might have to move to a place where their hiring and paying well.
And unemployment isn't a good way to judge the economy.
The economy could be doing great while unemployment is high.

Everything will turn around. You have to go by the Leading Economic Indicators and their all pointing to a turn around soon.

Just like I told you months ago, once tax time come around and people start to get those stumulous checks that their going to use to buy things and pay bills with, it will have a rebounding effect. It's us getting our money back.

And if the economy is bad in 4 years, of course I'm going to be blaming Bush. No one can hold Obama responsible for what Bush did.

Clinton left Bush with a Budget Surplus and a balanced budget.
Bush squandered that on activities that only benefitted his friends' businesses along with his family's business (Big Oil Men and Halliburton/War Contracting).

Obama didn't give us the recession. Bush did. No one can ever blame Obama for the recession even if he can't get us out of it. It was never his fault. He wasn't President or in charge when Bush lost the Budget Surplus Clinton left him with.
