Read again brother! "They have the same benefits" Its just called a Civil Union because they cant change the constitution! No they "don't" have the same benefits...they can't be called "Married". They cannot be "wed". If they could be "wed", then it wouldn't be called Civil Unions. It'd be called "married".

I don't know what to think about gay marriage anymore. After all it isn't a real marriage. A real marriage is a covenant relationship between a man and a woman before God and God doesn't recognize gay marriage from a spiritual perspective. So gay marriage is just a business contract between two people. However where I would definetly draw the line is over gays being allowed to adopt children. Legally, I have to say that we don't have the right to prohibit homosexual persons from marrying because there is no legal definition stating that a marriage is between opposite sexes. Personally, it's none of my business what two people who love each other do. That's between them and God. Religiously, they cannot marry. It is forbidden by God (I believe) and that's that. As for adopting children, it's 100% wrong for a homosexual couple to adopt a child because that child will not have a balanced upbringing of being raised by both a mother and a father where only a man and woman can give that child the perspective of both sexes. Are there good homosexual couples that would make great parents giving an orphan a good home? Yes. However, it takes more than just kindness and love and the abililty to provide for that child...that child has to be raised in what is considered a "normal" family. Homosexuality is not "normal".
