Well, why so many layoffs at small businesses? Because of The Bush Administration's Economic Policies. The Layoffs didn't "just" start on January 20th and the problems that are leading to today's layoffs didn't start then either. They started in the Recession of 2007 that leads into today. Remember, President Obama didn't start this recession and it's effects...he "inherited" it from Bush and The Republicans. But, the good news is that the layoffs are decreasing measurably! Isn't that great that The President's Economic Stimulus is working? Yeeeehhh! ;D Don't worry CC! We fixed The First Bush's (Bush Seniore) mess, we'll fix this one's too! Um...i checked yesterday and layoffs are still on the RISE not on the fall.

Um...i checked yesterday and layoffs are still on the RISE not on the fall. Um, check again...you got your facts wrong...the rate of layoffs is actually reversing. And, employment layoffs are what's known as "lagging indicators". Know what that is? That when the layoffs reverse, that signals the end of the recession. Employment layoffs have no effect on the economy. We can have a booming economy and we could still have layoffs. Employment is always the last sector of the economy to "catch up". moneywatch.bnet.com/economic-news/video/fewer-layoffs-than-expected/295953/And it still stands, despite record unemployment, we had "less" layoffs than either expected or predicted showing that it's rate is reversing. Obama! Obama! Obama! ;D

My hubby thinks this is ridiculous too. He says they called him a Socialist, and he's turning out to be one. He knows much more about politics than I do. Why is he a socialist? What's your "proof" of that statement? (Besides you just saying it) That was my hubby's opinion, that he is turning out to be a Socialist.

So, how do you feel about the " rate" of unemployment going down? Does that make you happy?

Well, welcome to a Socialist Country (because he's doing exactly what he said he'd do and we still overwhelmingly voted for him and now, more Americans approve of his "socialistic" agenda than did when they voted for him).

The unemployment rate is not dropping, it is still going on. Don't you understand "English" down durr in Texis? LOL! The rate of unemployment is dropping. Rate! Rate! Rate! That means that the amount of new claims are actually less this month than last month. I read your link...didn't you read the CBS link I provided?

Look at the last two numbers and the huge drop from 8.9 to .4! You just proved what I've been saying all along! That the "rate" of unemployment claims is dropping! But dang! I didn't know it dropped that much! Thanks CC! LMBO!

Well, if you click on the link it is pretty self explanitory....but in march the unemployment rate was 8.5 then in April it was 8.9 which gives a margin of .4 difference. Which is an increase of .4 in unemployment in the us.
