Well, their at it again. Why don't they just stop it already? Don't they know that America is tired of this divisiveness? That's why their losing so many of their members. Sherri Goforth, a legislative aide for Sen. Diane Black, sent the e-mail last month to other staff for Republican senators. It shows a portrait or photo of each U.S. president except Obama, who is depicted with wide eyes in a black background.www.wsmv.com/politics/19761259/detail.html

Don't forget the members of the other party either, friend. Check out this diddy from Senator Byrd, the President pro tempore of the United States Senate. A nigger is an ignorant person. I don't understand how that is racist when applied to a white person. It's only racist when it's applied to a black person. I can say nigger in the context of discussing race relations. That doesn't make me a racist. The context of his discussion was race relations and what he said was actually true. The word nigger shouldn't only apply to African Americans. There are niggers of all colors. The word literally means ignorant person, yet, the only time that it's been used in a racially insensitive manner has been to insult African Americans. No other races is referred to as niggers (except maybe Arabs who are referred to as "sand niggers" by Whites too). And you're talking about a man who literally renounced his former views on racial segregation who now in that quote talks about how stupid racism is. Here is the text of the quote: In a March 4, 2001 interview with Tony Snow, Byrd said of race relations: They're much, much better than they've ever been in my lifetime... I think we talk about race too much.
I think those problems are largely behind us... I just think we talk so much about it that we help to create somewhat of an illusion. I think we try to have good will.
My old mom told me, 'Robert, you can't go to heaven if you hate anybody.' We practice that.
There are white niggers. I've seen a lot of white niggers in my time, if you want to use that word.
We just need to work together to make our country a better country, and I'd just as soon quit talking about it so much.[45] Why don't you focus on the red lettered part of his statement? Parsing a beautiful statement like that as if to somehow make him seem racist is misrepresenting him and his views. I for one, (as a person of color) lovvvve what his statement says! ;D

Well according to most left wing loons we are all decendents of apes. Yeah, but that statment had been directly towards a woman of African descent. Why didn't he (a white man) say "Probably one of my ancestors"? Why did he say it could've been the Black woman's ancestor?

Can you imagine what would happen if George Bush would have used that word in any context? Besides, don't forget which party is the party of Lincoln. Anybody in their right mind knows plenty about Senator Byrd and his sordid racist past. My point is that there are and have been racists in all aspects of the political spectrum. However, the title of this thread seems to indicate, to me anyways, that racism is monopolized by GOP'ers. I personally find that to be disingenuine and ludicrous, but I do accept that it is the view of many on the misguided left -- the same folks who support the abortion industry founded by racists, the same folks who believe minorities must be given special treatment because they can't make it on their own, etc, etc. Just my 2 cents.

I don't recall parsing anything. I just posted the video for all to see. Can you imagine what would happen if George Bush would have used that word in any context? Well, the difference is the source of the quote. Byrd was a notorious racist at one time in his life. He's repented of that and now made a beautiful statement that detracts from the ugliness of the word when used towards Blacks. You probably can't see it because you're not a person of color (I'm just guessing here). I see exactly what he was saying and it's true. There is nothing wrong with using the word nigger to downgrade it (which is exactly what he did). I don't see why any reasonable person would have a problem with this word and the context in which it was used here. The word itself is offensive when used in a racial sense (when used in a nuetral sense, as in "an ignorant person" it's no where near as offensive). And don't forget which is the Party that today screams "kill him" at their rallies during the Presidential race with regards to our now current President. And don't forget which party had the racist posters at their rallies. And don't forget which party is 93% "non-minority". And don't forget which party cuts programs that benefits persons who happen to be minorities. Exactly! And that is what gives his words so much more power in a positive sense! It's a fact, most white racists are Republicans. I've also posted on the racist democrats here too during the election. You just happen to be coming upon the Republican's racism because right now, at this current events issue, they are the ones who are sending out racist emails from political offices. Question: How many Democratic racists have you come across in a country that is mostly non-minority? Compare that to the onslaught of racist events that are taking place now. Facts are facts. The overwhelming majority of racists in this country affiliate themselves with The Republican Party. That is undeniable. The overwhelming majority of racial crimes against minorities are done by Conservative Republicans. The number of race related attacks against minorities have exploded since President Obama was sworn in. It is what it is. Well, that's an insult to good decent folk like myself. I left the Republican Party because of all their homosexual escapades in Washington. They claim to be the party of morals and family values and had an unprecedented amount of sexual scandals involving prostitutes, pedophilia and corruption. Plus, they were the ones who legalized abortion in the early 70's. I in now way associate with anybody (either Republican or Democrat or Liberal) who supports abortion and point out their faults if asked (even The President's). Just because a person is against racism, you shouldn't lump them into the same category as the Left Wing Extremists. You just did what you seem to be complaining about (lumping people up in one group) where I literally separated the Extremists from the decent Republicans with the very title of this thread...Right Wing EXTREMISTS! If you don't fit that bill, then there's no reason for you to defend them. They are unfortunately the voice of Republicans now since I don't see many Republicans denouncing these acts (maybe for fear of losing even more members to The Independant Party?). Let's face it...the Right Wing Extremists are racists. And most racists are Right Wing Extremists. That is an undeniable fact.

Rap Music (like Oye Music and racist Country Music) are all offensive. And, will anybody even attempt to answer the very obvious question? Why didn't he say "that's probably one of my ancestors"? Why did he attach the ape to a black woman?
