The Bible says that God puts leaders in positions of authority over us and we are to obey them.
Why did God allow Barack Hussein Obama to win the election?

Not sure...why did god allow us to have the knowledge to do abortions, or embriotic stem cell research...or cloning?
Why was Saddam Hussain a leader, or Hitler, or that crazy guy in N. Korea?
Not saying Obama is bad like these folk, but just saying WHY?

1.To bring judgement against America. Whenever an evil king ruled Israel God would use that king to punish the Jews.
2. America has lost its moral compass
Isaiah 5:20
Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil
Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;
Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter

If you believe that is true, then why are you still here? Shouldn't you have tried to get away to like Mexico or something?
So, what (if any) leaders in the world are now in office to bring their people blessings?
How can that be? I thought this was the greatest Protestant nation ever made? Are there any countries that still have their "moral compass"?

Not saying Obama is bad like these folk, but just saying WHY? Because we became "like God" having free will when Eve talked Adam into partaking of the forbidden fruit. That's why. Mankind wasn't allowed...it disobeyed.

Is that what you're implying? That Protestant mismanaged this Christian country and God chose a Muslim to run it? Have The Gates of Islam prevailed against America? (Because ya'll do believe that he's a Muslim still, right?) I agree with you that America is "not" a good country when it comes to abortion, prostitution, disequitable distribution of it's wealth, unjust war, etc...

The war was not unjust! And the majority approved of going to iraq. Going to war: On the eve of the war, support for removing Saddam Hussein from power was strong. Sixty-five percent in the ABC/Washington Post, 64% in the Gallup, 67% in the CBS/New York Times and 71% in the Fox News/Opinion Dynamics polls approved. Americans always prefer to act with their allies, when it is possible. Sixty-eight percent in a mid-March 2003 Gallup poll said the United States had "done all it can to solve the crisis with Iraq diplomatically." www.forbes.com/2008/12/06/iraq-war-opinion-oped-cx_kb_1208bowman.html

But according to The Catholic Church, The Iraqi War was "unjust"! To whom to YOU pledge your allegiance to more? To the wordly government of The United States? Or to God's Church! Pope's Emissary Meets With Bush, Calls War 'Unjust' WASHINGTON -- President Bush, fresh from making plans for war against Iraq, met for 40 minutes Wednesday with Cardinal Pio Laghi, an emissary from the Vatican who made a last appeal for peace.
A friend of the president's father and the Vatican's first ambassador to Washington, Laghi brought to the White House the moral authority of the Roman Catholic Church on Ash Wednesday. In Rome, meanwhile, Pope John Paul II called on the world to fast for peace.
Laghi, 80 years old and retired from the Vatican, said after his meeting with Bush that a war would be "illegal and unjust," but stopped short of calling it immoral. In a news conference at the National Press Club, he also said the United States had an obligation to seek the blessings of the United Nations.www.commondreams.org/headlines03/0306-04.htm

Well, that does not say the pope said it was unjust... Listen, if someone comes over here and kills innocent americans, i think we should attack them. Iraq obviously housed these terrorists, along with afganastan. GO TROOPS! The Pope sent his emmissary to tell the U.S. it was unjust. The emmissary speaks "for" The Pope. And, PJPII said it was an unjust war himself to Britain: Pope John Paul told the British prime minister in their 15-minute private meeting that a war with Iraq would be an unjust war.www.catholicweekly.com.au/03/mar/2/02.htmlSo there you have it. Who do you stand by? America? Or The Catholic Church? Here's something else The Pope said: "If you go to war with Iraq, you go without God."So, who do you answer to Marcie? George Bush or God? forums.catholic.com/showpost.php?p=582408&postcount=6www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=102x1203707

Remember, Jesus said that whoever didn't follow The Apostles not only disobeyed Him, but God too! And, I stand by my country when my country does "right"! Not when it does wrong! Well Marcie, we know where your "loyalties" are...with Ceasar over Peter. Me? I'll roll with God and I'll roll with God when America is wrong! (As in Abortion, Prostitution, Unjust Wars, Racial Discrimination, etc...). You go ahead and put your "flag" over The Flag! Here's my Flag first! Catholic BEFORE American! My first country is God's green earth and is universal! God first! America second!

If you support obama you support him all the way. So, you supported McCain's Pro-Choice stands on Abortion (in cases of rape/incest/health of mother)? LOL! And, what does me supporting Obama on caring for the poor and helping the victims of racial attacks and on bringing peace between us and our enemies? LOL! God supports Obama on that too! ANDDDD! According to The Catholic Church (remember them?), a Catholic can support the good things a candidate does without being in cooperation of the bad things they do! So, there! LOL!

Now "that" sounds like Texas Justice (not like what Bush did, helping our attackers family flee into safety!). Right? ;D

What does that mean? I take it to mean that every Catholic has to decide for himself whether to support the war. At least that is what I got from the comment. I have never heard the pope say that Catholics must rebel against the American government and refuse to participate in the war. If the pope declared the war to be an immoral war wouldn't it then be a mortal sin for a Catholic to support it?
