I know enough about Spanish history to know that blacks have always been the lowest on the food chain in Spanish, Colonial countries.
That was, until we freed them.
It's not only in America where skin color matters. In every country of the world darker skinned people are looked down on. In India the dark skinned people are the Dallaks (untouchables). And among blacks themselves lighter skinned blacks are prefered. I don't know why this is so?
I agree with that 100%, but, in some countries, the "lighter" one is, the lower they are in society, so it goes both ways.
It's all relative...it all depends on which side of the argument a person wants to be. Evidence can be found to support both sides either way.
I know this, in this country, pale people are obssessed with being darker. They suntan, use tanning sprays and machines, etc...
What is with you anyway? White Hispanics are of European desent. You gave yourself away when you said the best hope for America is if white Hispanics become the largest ethnic group in America so that blacks will not win the race war. From that comment I can only conclude that you don't care much for blacks or non-Hispanic whites.
LOL!
Hey!
I love everybody!
And, yes...we are white (Spaniards).
But, we don't run this particular country (yet).
I do know this...no other culture has a higher tolerance for people of other races than the Hispanic culture. We don't judge a man by their color, but by their content.
Maybe that's why while other races are growing smaller, we as a conglomerate of races are growing greater as a culture.
We represent the true America...mixed races, mixed cultures, mixed people...all living in harmony with each other.
Maybe that's why we're taking over.
Because we represent what America was always meant to be, a mixture of people (not just one race).
Anyway, it would make sense since we were the ones who discovered it and settled it before anybody else.
;D
