That applies to non-Christians. For example, if a Hindu child of 1 1/2 years old dies, where does he go? Heaven? Or Hell? I agree about the original sin part, so the 1 1/2 years old hindu would go to heaven, but the 20 year old hindu who has sinned and not repented would not. Neither would the 20 year old Christian that sinned and not repented be saved.

Fine, the condition is we have to accept Christ. The word "condition" makes it seem like God's fault...when it is not. Depends how you personally look at it. It makes sense to me that God would place conditions on giving us eternal life. If not, Satan would automatically be saved.

ezekiel- What else do I have to do in order to do to heaven then? Do I have to get baptized? Get re-baptized every time I sin? What other things besides confessing Jesus as Lord and your Saviour do you have to do to get Saved?

OSAS is a false doctrin. Just because you confess that Jesus is your Lord and Savior does not give you a get out of jail free card. My MIL claims to be saved, but honey she leads nothing of a Christian lifestyle...even though she attends church EVERY sunday and volanteers during the week. You have to "keep" a Christ filled lifestyle FOREVER, its a forever thing.

cradle- I cannot judge if your MIL is Saved or not, I don't know her. But, it is a get out of jail free card for those who take it. From the sound of her actions, she has not taken it...or she has at one point in her life and just lost sight of her first Love.

Like I said before, I believe accepting Christ and repentance go hand in hand. If one will not repent from their sins and accept they are doing wrong...they will not accept Christ as their sin barer. One has to know they sin and are in need of a Saviour to accept Jesus. If they are not ready to repent they are not ready to accept Christ.

What other things besides confessing Jesus as Lord and your Saviour do you have to do to get Saved? You must endure until the end Mathew 24:13, Mark 13:13, and Revelation 2:26 are just a few of many verses that teach this.

I know it talks about "enduring", but I don't think "until the end" is included.

Jesus also said that you have to be baptized in water and spirit. Jesus also said that you have to repent of your sins. Not just once, but everytime you sin.

Not just once, but everytime you sin. These are things we should do as Christians, not things we have to do. So when Jesus said this, he didn't really mean it? It's "optional" and the word "unless" has no bearing there? Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you.

He was right, if we don't live off of Him spiritually we don't have true life.
