Yep. I'm engaged. I don't believe you. Not many moons ago you were boo hooing about not being able to find a nice Catholic girl. Well, I met this beautiful black woman. And we're going to get married. She's Muslim.

Ok, so i just researched and found that puerto ricans are us citizens, yet they cannot vote for the president. Does not make much since to me. Uh, yeah! I'm glad I got to "enlighten" you and correct your misindoctrination of what a Puerto Rican is! LOL! And...it makes all the sense in the world to those who understand our political situation. We are a "commonwealth". We are what's known as a "freely associated state" meaning that we are not a "united" state. We are an independant country in United States waters. Because of this, we cannot bring Russia in to buddy up with us (and never would want to) and at the same time, the U.S. has access to our island for military purposes. They collect Billions of dollars from U.S. companies doing business down there and in turn they gives us hundreds of millions of dollars in aid (we're getting ripped off on that one), but, they keep us safe and in turn, we are granted citizenship. We literally fight in wars (having the most highly decorated unit in The Vietnam War of any state in The U.S.), are entitled to just about every American right and post symbollic votes in Prez elections (just so that the U.S. sees who we agree with and we always vote Democrat). The island is made up of an overwhelming majority of Conservative Democrats (really no liberals there because the island is a very conservative 85% devout Catholic population). Why don't we become a state? Because we already saw what America did to Hawaii. Now, it's full of drugs and there are more Howli's over there than natives. We love our island just the way it is...pure and clean and free of rampant crime. We have a 97% High School Graduation rate (and a PR H.S. student is academically equal to a 1st year U.S. college student). 100% of H.S. grads go on to college and graduate. We have some of the best tech schools in the world and NASA recruits a lot of it's engineers from P.R.. We're fine just the way we are. And we like it like that. We don't want to give up our sovereignty just to become a state yet. When the time comes that it will benefit us and "not" hurt us like it did to Hawaii, then we'll join the states. But until then, we'll stay free. We can leave whenever we want to, but why? We love being Americans! ;D
