Ok, did you not listen to her interview??? She said that she stepped down because it was costing alaska money for her to be in office because of all the FRIVULOUS LAWSUITS, and you dont think they are ridicules? . But CC, what if she had become VP? Would she have "stepped down" if her being there was costing the USA money? Something just doesn't seem right about such an excuse. I know an OB/Gyn who has had so many lawsuits put against him(which is what happens to all OB/Gyns) and he is still practicing medicine. Let's hope all the Doctors don't resign too.

I'm sure the OB/Gyn has libel insurance which makes a difference. You claim to be a Christian so it ought to be easy enough for you to figure out that Palin is being persecuted because she is a Christian. I think she is being very smart to step down. It isn't the pressure it is the 500K in legal fees that she has racked up. On top of that the state of Alaska has spent 2 million dollars on these cases alone. More cases keep coming but so far all of them have been thrown out on their ear. So she is protecting the state from further litigation expense. Besides how is she suppose to govern Alaska when she has to spend so much time in court? Also the left wingers want to make sure she won't be able to run against Obama in 2012.

Palin feels like she can do MORE out of office for her state of alaska and the U.S. That is why she steped down. Personally i dont think it to be that big of a deal, it just seems like she is an easy target for the media and democrats to pic on.
To answer your question....No i dont think she would have backed down, for one thing she would not be dealing with what she is now...the lawsuits and such nonsense. I think she handles ridicule very well...if i were her and people were talking crap on my children it would be WW3! And i would make an a$$ of myself!

In 2050, the nation’s population of children is expected to be 62 percent minority, up from 44 percent today. Thirty-nine percent are projected to be Hispanic (up from 22 percent in 2008), and 38 percent are projected to be single-race, non-Hispanic white (down from 56 percent in 2008). www.census.gov/Press-Release/www/releases/archives/population/012496.html ;D As a matter of fact, you are a "minority" already in Texas so guess what? Habla Espanol? LOL!

I like that Bumper Sticker except for one thing Aflie...Palin is "Anti-American". She's married to a man who was part of a seccesionist group up until she ran for Federal Office...and even spoke at one of their conventions last year in support of their work (to break away from America!). BUT! I love what she did with Trig! For that, she has my utmost respect! I will always defend her for that!

So far all of the other law suits have been thrown out of court. DING! That ought to ring a bell. The people filing the suits have a mandate to destroy Palin. I ask you. Just how far in debt should this woman have gone to convince you that she wasn't a quitter? How much? Five, ten, fifteen million? And how is she supposed to pay her debts if she remains in office? And if she can't pay her debts, then what? More law suits filed against her for not paying them? The U.S. needs to do lawsuits like they do them in Great Britain. Anyone who files a lawsuit against someone and loses the suit has to pay all court costs of the accuser and the person being accused.

According to CNN as of July 11th, 2009 of 19 ethics complaints that have been filed against Palin or her staff, “15 have been resolved without any finding of wrongdoing, and four are now pending.
This doesn't sound like a quitter to me, not when she has won 15 lawsuits. If she had lost 15 suits and then decided to resign then maybe you could call her a quitter.
