Look, just because you have 1 mexican walmart in the whole city of HOUSTON, does not make this a spanish speaking state or country. There is a lil area of Port Arthur,tx that has a line of chineze stores, does not mean that i am speaking chinease! lol
Just except the fact that I nor You HAVE to speak spanish anywhere...unless you go to there lil nook in a city. But in the CITY HALL its english all the way, or they have someone who speaks bilingual!

In my hometown there are Polish, Greek, Italian, Serbian, Hungarian, Russian, Armenian, Slovak, Korean, German, etc, immigrants who speak English. We also have some Hispanics. Very few of the Hispanics know English so I can only come to the sad conclusion that they are too stupid to learn it like the other nationalities.
Either that or it is because the U.S. discriminates in favor of Hispanics and against non-Hispanics. It's discrimatory to allow Spanish to be used as a second language when other groups aren't given the same treatment.
And since you believe Spanish should be used because there are so many Hispanics in this country then German should be taught in schools because they are the largest minority in the country.
Since 70% of the inmates in California prisons are Hispanic they should be made to learn English as one condition for their release.

Everybody knows that Puerto Rico was strongly behind Hillary, but not because she was white, but because she was a Clinton and Bill Clinton is loved in Puerto Rico. What's you "source" for this information? As for Democrats being racist, what you're talking about is the Southern Democrats. A group of them said that they'd rather vote for McCain than to vote Democrat if a "Black man" were the nominee. And, even in Pennsylvania...  |

Well, you are comparing all white nationalities (except for the Italians there) to one Ethnic group. 2nd of all, did it ever occure to you that in a "free" country, some people just choose to "not" speak English? And, how did you come to this scientific evaluation that "few" of The Hispanics where you live dont' speak English? In Puerto Rico, we (unlike The United States) have "official" languages (meaning, they are legally the languages of the commonwealth). They are both Spanish AND English. Maybe, if The U.S. made English the "official" language and be "smart" like we were, there'd be no language problems here! LOL! What do you think? Maybe your hometown should copy Puerto Rico and make English their "official" language! We did! LOL! That depends "where" you life and the demographics. In Chinatown, Chineses is the 2nd language (road signs, government documents, etc...). Same in predominantely Polish, German, Greek, Italian towns. Cepha, do you go to say China and expect them to know ENGLISH? NO...so why should it be different for anyone coming to America. It is the Primary language in the U.S. When a mexican goes to school, they have to take english classes...not just spanish.

I'm pretty sure that it took most of them a while to learn English. Have you ever learned about the History of Immigration in the United States? I'm Italian, so I can talk about that. Most people in Europe are at the very least Bilingual. Many of them know 3, 4 or more languages because they WANT to be able to communicate with other people. They APPRECIATE other cultures.
